Reinforces my rule of never using a debit card (unless I have to in order to makes a bonus). It’s just asking for trouble if a glitch happens.

Customers were having the same problem when they were using credit cards. This story only highlights this one person using a debit card. This unfortunately has been quite widespread with credit card users as well as debit card users (using the card as credit). I don’t give my debit card to anyone except my bank or an ATM machine personally. I haven’t used my debit card for POS purchase in over 10+ years

In store does. This looks like the Kroger version of online. Which codes as Blackhawk network. So probably not.
