The Offer

Direct link to offer

  • Genisys Credit Union is offering the genius high yield checking account. This card earns 4.06% APY on balances up to $7,500 when you complete the following requirements:
    • Enroll in eStatements
    • Make 10 debit card transactions of $5 or more each month

Avoiding Fees

Doesn’t look like this account has any monthly fees to worry about.

Our Verdict

Nice rate and no direct deposit required. The big downside is that the debit card transactions need to be $5 or more. Not a huge deal but might be annoying for some people. As always a full list of high yield checking accounts can be found here.

What a coincidence. I just did this yday online. I have one of my office location in PA in the montgomery County. But my corporate address is elsewhere. They told to provide proof with that location address. So they are very sensitive to actual location/counties.

I am from the same county 🙂 Do you know how many accounts can one open? 7500 makes is not worth for me , 50$ per month spend is another pain 200$ is annual profit compared to other accounts. but too much work.

No idea. But, there is no household restriction. The chat option is very good.

Was told it’s only a soft-pull via their facebook page — only allows $50 in cc funding however.
