I definitely didn’t keep much more than the $1500 min for too long. I wanted to skip the real DD but since we really didn’t have any data points I didn’t want to risk it and not get the bonus

On 3/31 I got hit with the $8 maintenance fee that @H.P. mentioned below. However, my initial funding hit the same day that I opened the account. I called and they credited it back.

Applied and approved over the weekend but could not set up online banking. I called, and somehow my email did not get saved to my account profile. (Even though they sent me approval email?) I had to go in branch with my ID to add my email and then got a online temp password. All set now.

This is a sneaky bank. I opened my account on Feb 8 (Sat) with an initial deposit of $1525. They withdrew the money from my external bank on Feb 10 and credited it to my NASB account on Feb 11. I didn’t add/withdraw any money after that. I was notified today March 1 that my account was charged $8 service fee for Feb. I called them and asked why. They said because my balance was $0 on Feb 10 and “If your balance on any one day of the monthly statement falls below $1,500, you will be charged a fee of $8 for that cycle”. So unless you manage to deposit at least $1500 somehow so that it gets credited on the opening day, they will nail you $8 service fee for the first month.

So am I the only one confused here? You don’t have to hold any funds in this account technically? Just get $3k in DD every month and you’ll hit it? The opening deposit was just an initial deposit and can be pulled out? Lefty SG @gadget

That’s not how I interpreted the terms. I signed up with the $3000 requirement and P2 signed up when the terms required $1500 to be maintained. To be safe, we’re leaving those amounts as a minimum balance at all times until the bonuses pay.

Lefty Lefty, the other guy SG keeps thinking that its 7 months to get the bonus. Do you think the 90 day mark starts when you open the account like every other bonus we’ve seen or after the initial 90 days?

#2: You two are thinking differently about the maintenance funds and fees. I may play it safe and keep it in there but I’d have to hold up $6k since I signed up both players at $3k.

I opened the account this evening. Speedy process. I am keeping the $1500 until bonus payout simply to prevent paying any fees. But the 3K in total DD will go in and will also be coming back out as needed.

No, you aren’t required to hold the funds but I don’t like fees and the min balance is $1500 or there is an $8 fee and who wants to pay $8 x 7 months

Has anyone done a bonus with NASB before?

Based on the offer terms the bonus payout says they wait the initial 90 days then if you meet the requirements then they will deposit the bonus within 90 business days. If it truly takes that long – 90 business days is over 4 months so we are talking about 7 months.
I am in KS and willing to try it, but I am not sure I have the patience to wait 7 months!

I think this offer has changed. When I first saw it earlier this month it said $1500 min to open but $3K if you want the 300 bonus but now it’s just 1500 min to open. So that was a nice change!

Directly from NASB website offer terms
“To receive the $300 Bonus: 1) Open a new NASB Prosper Checking account with a total deposit of $1,500 or more. 2) Account(s) subject to approval. 3) Set up and complete direct deposits totaling $3,000 or more into this account within the first 90 days of account opening. Your direct deposits must be electronic deposits of your paycheck, pension, or government benefits (such as Social Security) from your employer or the government. Deposits processed as a debit card credit or via Account to Account or Peer to Peer (e.g., Zelle ®, Venmo) transfers do not qualify. Micro-deposits (small deposits, typically less than $1, that are sent to your account to verify it is the correct account) do not qualify as a direct deposit for the bonus. 4) At the completion of 90 days from account opening, if you have completed the above requirements and your account is open and in good standing with a balance greater than zero, NASB WILL DEPOSIT THE $300 BONUS IN YOUR NEW ACCOUNT WITHIN 90 BUSINESS DAYS.”
