Our Verdict
We will add more of these in the lead up to national coffee day. If you seen any not listed then let us know in the comments below.
Wawa and Krispy Kreme are giving out free coffee on 9/29/22 no strings attached.
There are a bunch of local and state-specific stores that are also giving out ☕ for free, but most national coffee and donut brands are requiring either minimum purchase or new rewards account creation. Starbucks isn’t giving out shit this year, despite naming 9/29 National Starbucks Day after itself.
Krispy Kreme sent me an email stating one free coffee and any doughnut of choice.
I got pike place coffee at Starbucks today, but it seemed not many people participated in this promotion. The clerk was clueless about this campaign, and the manager (?) came to my rescue eventually.
Krispy Kreme offers a free coffee of any size and a free doughnut with a Krispy Kreme rewards account.
The Starbucks I went to offered me an iced coffee option which was nice. ymmv.
William Charles Sheetz has free self serve coffee with Sheetz Rewards.
Worked for me in Denver this morning at a stand-alone Starbucks. The Starbucks inside a Safeway was not participating due to reasons from to a pandemic; fair enough reason.
Another year already!

Dunkin is offering a free coffee WITH another purchase. Not a free coffee and donut
