Why does it say expired? The link still states there is a bonus.

Seems to be “Just for associates” of Nationwide, not the general public. If you are an associate of Nationwide then go for it.

Completed the requirements using a payroll DD on 10/15.

I waited the required 90 days plus two weeks but never got the bonus.

I called in on 1/26, the rep took some information and said within 3 days the bonus will post.

It posted on 1/27! Unfortunately, I have to keep this open for a few more months. It’s always worth it when a nice bonus is available and posts, but it’s a pain to keep these active.

Did anyone get this automatically?

*Data point* Nationwide tried not to pay the bonus stating that a DD of $200 was required within 60 days. They made is sound like the requirement was 1 DD of $200 rather than the the total of $200, which I made in to DDs of $100 each. I pushed back. They said they would investigate and call me back. No call, but they paid. Yes, I know I broke the rule and called the bank.

looks like the link is down and I also tried to open their online banking page from their website that is down as well. Makes me think may be they are working to bring this offer up again. Hopefully 🙂

Received an email back from customer service today stating that they will honor the promotion if I applied using the promo code, to me the wording made it seem like they were making an exception. I have not applied yet, and do not think I will.

” We will be honoring the offer if you meet the listed requirements. How to receive the bonus: To get your $200.00, open a new E-Checking account with a $50 minimum balance using the offer code, then set up an automatic monthly direct deposit of at least $200 into your E-Checking account. Your monthly direct deposit of $200 or more must be received within 60 days of opening the account. Direct deposits must be ACH credits made by an employer or an outside agency (such as pension or government benefit payments). Online transfers or other types of deposits are not considered direct deposits. The account must remain open for at least 90 days to receive the $200.00 bonus. The $200.00 bonus will be deposited into your new account within 2 weeks following the 90 day minimum requirement. This $200 bonus offer is limited to one per household and is not available to existing checking customers. Nationwide Bank reserves the right to withdraw any offer at anytime.

Also, although the landing page no longer shows the promo after a page refresh, the open account link includes the “invalid” promo code in the URL bar.
