No longer works. Paypal removed the offer even if you saved it to your account. They also seem to be removing the it on any transactions placed with that offer.

I believe this is targeted. The terms say eligible participants are …

(3) receive an authorized email or view an onsite banner inviting participation in the offer (“Invitation”) (eligibility for/those who receive the Invitation will be determined solely by PayPal) (“Eligible Participant”).

After clicking link received email that it was added to my account, but does not actually appear in account and does not take $5 off at checkout.

I did the same, but saw the offer in my wallet after I saved it — and got an email confirming offer. But offer did not apply when trying to buy something at Best Buy, and then offer disappeared from my wallet same day 9/29/22. Same happened with the Target offer. PayPal is really terrible when it comes to promos. Their customer service is non-existent, some foreign rep always messages (PP doesn’t take calls now, or I can’t get thru to a human) that they know there’s some problem & their tech team is working on it & will get back to me, not to worry — NOT. They never get back to you, or claim problem fixed months later, but no soup for you.
