Original Post:

Pei is yet another card linked loyalty program, similar to Dosh or Spent. You basically link your existing debit or credit cards to the app and then when you make purchases at select merchants you get rewards. As this is a card linked program you get these rewards in addition to the standard credit card points you’d earn and can stack it with other promotions and discounts.  The nice thing about Pei is the list of merchants they have on offer:

  • 7-11
  • Walgreens
  • Starbucks
  • CVS
  • Target
  • Panera Bread
  • In-N-Out
  • Sam’s Club
  • Dunkin Donuts
  • Domino’s
  • Chick-fil-A

You can receive your cash out as either Bitcoin or USD. There is a waitlist for Pei, in the past you’ve been able to bypass this list by signing up in app (still works). You’re limited to earning $5 back per merchant per day and there is a $15 (now $25) cash out minimum.

Referral Program

Pei has a referral program, person signing up receives 250 points and person referring earns the same. Please do not post your referrals in the comments below. Instead share them in this linked post.

I’m mostly happy with Pei, but good luck if something doesn’t track properly. I had some restaurants listed in Pei as 10% back. Some didn’t track at all, and one only paid 100 points ($1) on a large purchase. I tried opening tickets with their support system, but it’s a disaster. They closed all 3 of my tickets as “solved” hours after I opened them, but did nothing. If you reply to the ticket (which the instructions say to do) it is auto-closed as a duplicate, and instructs you to open a new ticket. I can’t get anywhere.

Does anyone from Pei read this board? Or anyone have any other method of contact?

That’s my experience as well. Worst customer service ever, or should i say no customer service! It’s been 3 months and numerous tickets later but still no response from them. I needed them to update my phone number but after i submitted the necessary documents they just never replied back. Either closed my tickets right away as duplicate or resolved (even though nothing was done) or just plain ignored my ticket with a cookie cutter email saying they are running behind. Really? Still behind after 3 months?? Unbelievable!

To add insult to injury, I finally did get a response: They said that I needed to request missing cash back within 14 days of transaction, and that’s why they closed my tickets. Only problem with this argument is that *I DID* request within 14 days. No matter, all my tickets closed as “solved” with nothing done. I give up.

If one buys a lot on Amazon and others like Walmart and Target (online and offline) is this the best app to get the most cashback?

Did the 12 days of christmas offers track for anyone?

The points for my gas purchase posted today.

One issue I have had is the lack of non-US merchants listed in the app. None showed up in all of Germany. McDonalds at one German airport tracked for a coffee purchase but wasn’t listed on the map for local merchants. They have many Taco Bells in the US, one I ate at in Germany did not track in the app at all. So using this outside the US is complete guesswork.

This post remind me to open. Pei app, found out CVS pay rate is 0.5% for me and of course 1$ Max weekly, another thing I notice the payout minimum increase from.$15 to $25 now if you try to withdraw. 12 days promotion has activate button but I can not make it work or activated.

DoC post: “Dec 19th: 5% Cashback , any Pei merchant up to $40”

Mine says: “Day 6: Thursday, December 19th – Get 5% back when you shop at any Pei merchant partner”

Where do you see the $40 limit William Charles ?

(Could be really useful for CVS/Walgreens purchase if its not just the ridiculous limit of $1…)

Gadget - Bank Bonus Geek 🕵️

Looks to me the daily limit is set by the merchants… some are weekly or daily, and I am seeing as little as $1 or up to $30 in the few that I clicked on.

If that $40 is the overall cap, we are talking about $2 in rewards, right? Woo Hoo!

Lol, I guess you’re right. My greedy mind was reading it as $40 in cashback (w. $800 charge), not $40 overall purchase. D’oh!

Might have to cancel my PEI pizza party on the 24th now… 😉

P.S.: Gadget - Bank Bonus Geek 🕵️ you tried Payce yet? Having good results so far, but still in testing phase. Also, planning to get a 3rd Insight card this week, so will leave a DP for ya…

I did signup for Payce, but didn’t end up using it. I am not a fan of programs where you have to enable the offer before shopping. It would probably take me a year to get $20 to be able to cash out, if not longer.

At some point it just becomes to much to keep track of… enabling offers in apps or online, looking for coupons, card specific programs like amex offers, rotating categories cards, uploading receipts, ughhhh. I catch the ones that I can and back-burner the rest. The other problem is I am not much of a shopper and tend to visit the same restaurants often, most of which are not covered by these programs.

Tried to sign up using a code form FT Conga. I get a Nework Request Error. Using earlier codes gives me invalid code. So the code appears to be OK, but I can’t get through.

Got it to work. I don’t know if it was an issue with Chrome or what. Sign up through Edge worked.

Have stopped paying attention to it ever since weekly caps went to $1. The app is incredibly glitchy these days, practically unusable. Every time I go to claim bonus from organic spend, I get a whopping ONE point.

Very glitch even for $1 weekly, it posted for me 50% times but I don’t think I care much for missing 1$ every other week. Lol.

So for today’s deal of 10% on any gas station, I do not see any gas partner in my area? I don’t have 7-11. Is that the only gas partner they have?

Dan
Dan

I could be wrong, but based on the language they use, this may capture anything that codes as gas station. Not just Pei gas merchants, but any merchant coding as gas.

Millennial Outrage

Correct. Pei says any gas station, not limited to partner locations.
