Plastiq Giving Users With Scheduled Payments Paid With Visa Cards Some Fee Free Dollars

Currently some personal Visa cards are coding as a cash advance when using Plastiq. Some readers (and Nick at Frequent Miler) are reporting receiving e-mails warning them that upcoming payments are scheduled to be paid with a Visa card and warning them that this will result in in a cash advance, plus some alternative cards they could use. In addition Plastiq is sometimes offering fee free dollars (in the amount of the scheduled payment) as a one time courtesy for this problem. It’s really nice that Plastiq are giving these courtesy fee free dollars and trying to inform users as much as possible about these fees, especially since the issue seems to be with individual card issuers/Visa rather than Plastiq themselves.

My Plastiq check to my landlord that had an arrive by date of June 2 still hasn’t been received by my landlord- could others respond to this message with whether their Plastiq checks have been reaching on time or not? Wondering if the MC fee-free craze is resulting in payment receipt failures on a large scale or if they just screwed up my case

I made a payment on May 15. Check was sent on May 17 and should have arrived by May 25. My landlord still has not received the check yet.

My first ever plastiq check to my mortgage holder (Penny Mac) was sent on May 22nd to be delivered by May 31st. I called Penny Mac on May 31 since there seemed to be no sign of the payment being received. Plastiq advised to give it one more day. Lo and behold, PM showed the amount credited to my account on June 1st. So a happy first time user here! I’ve got a couple more payments planned.

I made a payment on May 15 and May 16, and my apartment cashed both on May 25.

I have the exact same issue and I was informed by plastiq customer service that this is a rare glitch. But looking at the comments here, that doesn’t seem to be the case really.

I had the same situation where my plastiq check was supposed to reach by June 2nd. But as of today June 7th it is still not delivered even though as per plastiq the checks were mailed on May 23rd. And now they are trying not to pay my late fee i incurred because of them.

Had the same problem and I think they lost the check during mailing progress since my landlord never received the check. The plastiq helped me canceled that payment and I scheduled a new one; the new one worked.

If the checks don’t arrive on the guaranteed delivery date, then they usually arrive a day ahead of schedule, I’ve been told by my recipients. Haven’t sent a lot, but never had a problem in the year I’ve been using Plastiq.

If you’re new to Plastiq… you can earn points with a Drop app offer. If you’re unfamiliar with Drop… you can use Will or Chuck’s referral codes to sign up… happy churning… Jesus loves you!!

Drop also requires your login information so when money goes missing you’ll know first that Drop was hacked. Hopefully Jesus in Customer Service will help you
