Today, I applied and was instantly approved for the personal AmEx Platinum and personal AmEx Delta Gold cards. Judging from the comments of those posts, many others are getting approved with these NLL card links as well.
Cautious by nature, I’m nervous about these types of funny signup links. Lately, I’ve changed my attitude. I’ll often apply for these non-traditional signup links and hope for the best.
Much as I’d miss having AmEx cards, I suppose the world won’t end if I couldn’t have any. I also reason that anything I’m doing on a small scale is nowhere near the heavy hitters who apply for dozens of cards. Hopefully I’ll fall below the radar.
There are some experts who identify different types of signup offers and categorize some as ‘safer’ or ‘riskier’. I haven’t checked these specific offers to see where the Platinum and Delta NLL offers fall.
While in the past I didn’t want to hit 5/24, lately it’s harder to get approved for Chase INK cards and so I’m less sensitive to getting new personal cards.
