Not sure the 5x on groceries is sustainable without caps or limiting what types of purchases count.

Even without abusing anything about this card, I can’t see how it’s sustainable. I’d absolutely use this card legitimately for my daily spend if I thought it would last long enough to be worth switching my checking over, though I have serious doubts.

5x groceries sounds great!!! “Can I do cashback please? $100, no, $1000 please. Thank you, see you in 5 min.”

I would gladly pay $1,000 a month to get unlimited grocery store purchases with a debit card… I would buy money orders until they ran out of paper to print them!

I don’t want a metal card. It’s too heavy and it’s too hard to stab with a pair of scissors when I finally cancel it.

Also doesn’t float. Probably not a good idea in Hawaii.

I wouldn’t consider this for myself but what is “rideshare protection”? I find this interesting as most of the other benefits are done thru Visa/MC and I don’t believe they offer that as an available add on benefit to issuers.

Gib me 5x on mortgage and quarterly tax payments and I’ll pay whatever annual fee you want. Don’t care about rideshare protection.

Exactly or keep the 5X grocery with no caps for GCs and we will gladly pay the annual fee.

Groceries, assuming it stays as a debit card would get insane fast.

LOL, They don’t know the power of churners. Churners can buy 50K dollars of visa gift cards and convert them to MOs, during their afternoon lunch.

Ya that would be mega-abused. Could recoop the annual fee with one $3k MO

Curious why’s that so? There are other credit cards that offer 5x on groceries too

Because those all cap spending or are only valid during rotating categories.

Credit or Debit? Credit sure, Debit is special.
