Our Verdict
Make a note to cancel before the 12 month period ends if you don’t want to pay full price. You might also have a Chase Offer which gives you $5 back on the purchase.
Does anyone know if there are there any games or apps that come with this, or is it just the ability to view tv shows, movies, and books? I’m having a hard time finding what’s included as part of Kids+. Thanks.
Have a 3 year old and 6 year old and have only looked at their age groups, but yes there are a large number of games that you get access to, along with books and some shows/movies that normally require subscriptions (I’m not real familiar with how many – just know there are a couple things the kids have been able to watch that they couldn’t without Kids+). Most of the games they have access to are educational (math, word games, etc), but there are plenty that are just for fun too.

We got in on this a couple years ago. Let it laps as I won’t pay the full price, much to my kid’s annoyance. Got it again this past July (Prime Day?). Too bad you can’t just buy another year now to extend your current membership. Just have to see what they offer next summer.
*lapse
kids+ is trash, not worth $14.99
FYI, I had a free trial that was finishing up in about 10 days from buying a Kindle Kids last year–I had to chat with them to cancel my subscription immediately (instead of lapsing in 10 days), then I was able to redeem this offer. Simply pausing the subscription didn’t do the trick.
Some may have a Chase Offer for $5 back on an Amazon Kids Plus subscription. Not sure if this annual discounted subscription will trigger the offer though.
Meant to add a note about that, added now, thanks
I only have “Amazon 4-Star” on two of my cards. My kids have been begging for me to renew since our early pandemic $20 one year membership lapsed.
