[Expired] Raise: 5% Additional Discount On Target Gift Cards [Promo Code SLICKFIVE]

The Offer

Buy Target e-Gift Cards (affiliate link)

  • Raise is offering an additional 5% discount on Target e-gift cards with promo code: SLICKFIVE.

The Fine Print

  • Valid today only, Wednesday, 7/10/19
  • Cannot be combined with other offers
  • Not valid on Raise Cashback Cards
  • Max savings of $15
  • One time use only

Our Verdict

The 5% discount is on top of existing discounts, so you should end up with around 8% off, based on current market rates. There is a 5% discount on Target gift cards from Target themselves coming up soon, though that one might have limits, and it doesn’t offer as high of a final discount as this Raise deal.

This deal originates from Slickdeals, it states: “Only valid on orders placed through Slickdeals; Orders placed through other sites will not receive cashback, miles, points etc.”. The promo code works regardless of where you click from, just make sure it’s reflecting properly at checkout. The promo code might negate other portal rewards, but it can’t hurt to try (my personal guess is that portal rewards will track, despite the terms).

There is a better deal on Target gift cards on Gift Card Spread — 10.66% off plus 1.5% cash back on Yazing, although the card guarantee period is shorter.

I’ve never heard fo Gift Card Spread. Is the delivery instant and do they have a protection plan?

From what I understand, they have steeper discounts but you basically need to use the GC quickly…like buy it then go to to the store to redeem. Never buy them and hold on to them or keep an unused balance. They’re able to offer steeper discounts because they are more lax about who they let sell on the site so you get more shadier people using it to sell GC.

Jtaitt I have purchased a few electronic gift cards from this site. During the first purchase, it took about 12 hours to receive the card; after that, cards got sent within 15 minutes. One card had an issue. Customer service was helpful, and I received an immediate refund. But do keep in mind that their warranty is only 60 days, so cards should be used quickly.

However, they seem to have changed their pricing since yesterday, so it’s now no better than Raise if you use the promo code above.

With target gift cards you can immediately redeem them to your target app/target.com account. That way you can validate them immediately to see if they work. Once the gift card is redeemed to your account, the old GC number will show up as having a zero balance. I think target creates a completely new GC in the app which holds the balance.
