Signs posted in store that you can only buy them with cash or debit.
I had no issues buying 2 today, so it probably depends on the location.
DP: Can confirm the cashier at Nob Hill in Alameda, CA would only let me pay with cash or debit card.
I went back again and showed I had a debit then used my cc. It errored out, and the cashier said it was showing as credit on their end. It seemed to be coded into their system, at least at that location. I ended up doing the same thing but successfully at Smart & Final.
As a former resident of Reno, I really miss being able to talk to Raley’s

I’ve never seen this kind of sale for them before. Makes me think this will be a more regular thing.
