Yes, I think people were aware of that deal. At least for me, it wasn’t worth it. My AMEX Blue Business Plus gives 2 MR per dollar everywhere, and I value MR at about 1.6 cpp, which means I’m getting 3.2%. But think about the hassle with that deal- dealing with PayPal, making payments every day. the huge and obvious shut down risk on BOTH ends. For just an extra 0.4%? Never mind that many get 1.8 from MR making it even. Truth is I’m surprised people bothered with it- unless I’m missing something? Would love to hear.

I believe Amex Blue is limited to 50k per year. PPDBMC would let you do that each month.

The deal is that card is a DEBIT card. You can make payment to that bank (with very bad IT department) using a DEBIT card.

Can someone explain what this “deal” is? Sorry I don’t know what it is like the cool kids lol

Always post the dead deals.

Also, couldn’t this have been a 5.625% everywhere card had the author chosen a different way to fund his PPBDC? (This option is a “soon to be dead” deal)

No because for this bank, it couldn’t be pulled from said source.

I see. I tried once with the backup source but got denied. So didn’t experiment it further. But why bother this 1% as the backup method can gave you much more. These two methods are not compatible. For this 1% you have to have money in paypal, while the backup method you have have zero balance in paypal.

Which credit card bill can be paid with a debit card? Like the ones we buy at Staples?
Thanks.

I think it should be noted that this probably isn’t the smartest thing to do at volume (lots of banks will shut you down if done in mass, and it’s not worth being shut out of a bank just to get a few extra points). Maybe worth liquidating a few GCs every once in a while but I find that anything you can’t scale is almost a waste of time due to narrow bandwidth.
