6 people on the ship got covid….6…Ben is such a weasely little shit that he would rather put the 10% to scaremonger more for clicks….the guy is such a drama queen, cant stand his blog.
This was my first thought as well when I read 10%.
That almost makes it worse though. They only had 60 people and 6 managed to get COVID. Stick 600 on the boat and you’ll be way higher

This is pretty ridiculous, because testing is already supposed to be free!
Can everyone just please stay locked in their homes until the government tells us we can come out? PLEASE!!
Not everyone can afford. Government isn’t paying people’s mortgages, car notes, CC bills, or much of anything lately.
How can people get sick from a hoax?
If they had filters on a ship like they do a plane, I’d take that chance.
I know i’m probably part of a small group, but i’m cruising the first chance I get. I know cruise deals really aren’t a thing here but I’ve found several $80-100 base ticket price deals with free add ons and am willing to risk it for the biscuit!
A Supposedly Fun Thing I’ll Never Do Again
Probably a terrific deal if you have had covid already
I can find better ways to entertain myself than being on a cruise. To be honest I don’t understand why someone would choose to put their life at risk.
It just seems very boring. Cooped up on a ship with thousands of other fat, ugly people that are not lively and close to dying. And everyone carrying so many germs.
Yuck.
I thought you were supposed to post sarcastic stuff.
Braving the risk of getting sick (or getting others sick) is one thing. Navigating the logistics of being on a illness-struck ship is another. My aunt and uncle boarded a fun cruise a week or so before COVID became a big deal on the Western Hemisphere. Not only did one of them get very sick along with tons of other passengers, the ship got kicked around by several countries, including the United States which was home to most of the people on board. The ship ended up getting routed to Argentina a couple weeks later where they flew home and got medical treatment. The process was a gigantic nightmare.
Yeap. I think it’s the whole risk/reward thing with ships that I don’t understand.
Would I go out in the park, or fly somewhere fun (maybe domestically to avoid any surprises with being stuck somewhere), at the risk of potentially getting COVID? Sure, whatever.
Would I board a ship, where I might be legally required to isolate in a tiny small room, and may not even be able to receive medical attention should something go wrong, just because the deal is crazy good? And where they’ve apparently never bothered to have appropriate hospital-grade ventilation systems like they do on airplanes? Nah. Getting a car rental, and doing a camping trip to Colorado sounds more fun.
Not much of a risk. I’d take a cheap travel deal in a heartbeat
