I absolutely love Gap, OldNavy and BR clothes. I’m 6’3″, and with a BMI of 19–20, you can’t find any clothes that fit anywhere else. Gap brands are the only brands that sell M Tall sizes. Their Tall line starts at M; all other brands start it at L, if they have a Tall line at all.

I surely hope the M Tall line remains at all the three brands even after the splitup. It’d be great if they augment some of the other products, like the leather jackets, into the Tall line as well.

They don’t carry the Tall line in the stores, either, so, ordering online is a must. But the best part is that I can order M Tall knowing it won’t be too short like the clothes at the stores.

It looks like Hotel 48Lex gets away with the resort fee scheme like this:
Their resort fee is $60, BUT if you book directly with them, they “discount” the resort fee to $35. On their site, they refer to it as “House Privileges” offered at a discounted rate. Super shady and terrible, but probably legal. Let’s hope it doesn’t catch on, but I’m not holding my breath.

Why wouldn’t it be legal?

Yeah, it’s annoying to potential customers, but I know there are other major businesses where the price varies depending on how you come to them. For example, the flowers-ordering service where when you get a discount voucher as a free gift from somewhere, the special URL they tell you to go to to use the voucher has prices conveniently higher than the regular-URL prices by the amount of the voucher.

Hope they have a slot at LHR already — those spots are hard to come by (and they aren’t make more…). Few months ago there was a story on airlines flying empty planes from LHR just to protect their time slots (use em or lose em system)

JetBlue is great but without a lounge in terminal 5 it will be hard to attract transatlantic biz class customers. they will have to compete on price.

Things may change because of Brexit (even though it has yet to occur) London lost the crown for Financial capital of the world last Sept. as many huge corporations and banks are relocating and moving from London. As it was also kinda of the Finance Capital for the EU as well. So I think that over all demand for Lounges and Business class fares and accommodations will shrink at LHR and Gatwick -with fewer Banks and Businesses making regular trips through LHR.

I think their plan is to make a MINT comparable for TATL. They think there is some money to be made in a reasonably priced J product crossing the pond. Maybe a nice lounge would help, but an hour there doesn’t compare to a better experience during 7 hours in the sky….

The article on JetBlue says they are trying to secure spots to Amsterdam. And they filed an anticompetitive complain against KLM, Air France, and Delta for withholding slots from them. London was not said to be part of that.

So what happens to GAP / Old Navy gift cards? Will they work across even after the split?

they’ll probably work for a while at both places…but I wouldn’t hoard them
