Honestly, I was (still am) a bit skeptical over whether this large charge was actually made—by a real customer, and not some person testing this new service that they just happened to be promoting in these press releases. I can’t even get a charge over a few thousand with my bank lol. I know that Discover caps cashback at $30 a month. What’s to stop me from just closing my Disc acct and switching to the other bank?
Jiko has a $505 daily transaction limit. So, yes, this story is as fake as it gets
$20,000 is the transaction limit for tax payments with the Jiko debit card, per the FAQ. And the $20k limit can be increased at their discretion if you contact them.
hi. its because the wsj article is behind a paywall and im not going to pay to read it. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ on a serious note though, nice to see cryptocurrencies are gaining more acceptance.
With the new Amazon CEO, I wonder if Amazon accepting crypto for payment will become possible in the near future.
Seems like the idea of the feds requiring testing for domestic travel is going nowhere fast.

required covid test for domestic travel is very stupid and pointless.
I can’t knock the hustle, but thanks a lot for killing the debit card option, buddy.
Danno, who is buddy? The guy in the story or DoC?
The guy in the story. I’d never knock DoC.
It’s basically fake — guy had to coordinate with the company to allow it. Basically just paid press
“Some airline officials worry such requirements could curtail already weak demand for air travel […] Brownlee said the“main message to U.S. citizens considering travel abroad remains the same: ‘Seriously reconsider going overseas right now. If you’re overseas right now, it’s going to be harder to come home for a while.’”
While it’s a step in the right direction, there is something deeply hypocritical about discouraging overseas travel while allowing domestic air travel to spread infections like wildfire. A one-pronged approach to a multi-pronged problem will clearly never work for the US, even with vaccinations.
