But anyway, I always wondered what kind of testing did they do to get the “99.99%” rating and who exactly certifies that. See lots of cleaning products market that.

The Purell lawsuit will answer the age old question: How many germs does Purell actually sanitize? When I was a kid, I asked my mom that every time I used Purell.
EPA and FDA have different takes on it, apparently.
