Our Verdict

They offered the same in prior years. We’ll repost this on March 24th when it goes live. Should be possible to give away your membership to someone else (signup will have to be done over TMobile network).

If you did the deal with last year’s T-Mobile offer, your subscription should expire prior, and you should be eligible for the new year free. If you bought a subscription, make sure it ends before March 23 to be able to get in on this deal, as per the fine print.

I guess they will have signups when there is an MLB schedule.

It’s also easy enough to run thru a VPN to circumvent the blackout rules for your local market.

Hmm… Not always. I used Nord VPN and MLBTV blocked me from in market games after a few days. It might have been from cookies or something. Some VPNs will leave traces. Then I moved so never tried again.

How do you get these deals? You have to pay for t-mobile service? Do pre-paid plans get these offers?

I also signed up for that t-mobile “test drive” thing a couple months ago but didn’t activate it yet.. can I get these offers if I activate the hotspot?

You get these deals by being a T-Mobile customer.

FYI, if you’re not on TMo and a friend who is signs up for you, DO NOT watch a game on another network’s data (ie: Sprint, VZW, ATT, etc). Sure way to get your account killed. I learned this the hard way a couple of years ago. Home wifi only is the safest way to go (maybe office too).

I actually did this last year when I had Verizon and I had no issues.

Something changed over the last year then because they shut mine down quickly two years ago when I watched a game over Sprint 4G. (No problems last year, but I tried to be careful to only watch on wifi… and even if I slipped up, I’m now on an MVNO that uses TMo towers.)

I used this a few years ago and only used home wifi and my account got shut down. Probably worth another try this year for $5 if things seem to have changed.

huh? people can have multiple cell providers. i have tmobile for home and at&t for work. the tmobile account isnt even in my name (family plan). i would use at&t to stream because of superior coverage and superior data plan. if i got shut down they would get a nasty letter.

Anyone have an account to donate? I’d be really grateful, would gladly send an amazon GC.

Considering the continued game blackouts for local/regional teams, the commissioner’s cover-up of the sign-stealing scandal, and his lame “punishment” and defense of cheaters, this subscription should be free for everyone.

Couldn’t disagree more. I think it’s just the culture in America: it’s okay to lie, cheat, and steal as long as you’re winning. You can even argue that it’s recommended because if you’re not cheating, you’re not trying.

Anyone know the cheapest way I can get a TMobile plan so I could take advantage of this offer? Would I save any money even if I don’t use the phone? Thanks in advance to anyone with guidance.

Honestly, you’re better off buying the subscription off from someone. Lots of people have extra accounts and they are very cheap. And maybe someone will even be generous enough and give you it for free. Anything is possible

Check SD. Users often trade their code for around $5.

At Bat is always included with an mlbtv sub. Not even sure why anyone would buy at bat on its own. Super excited for this again!
