In mid October last year we posted a deal where you could get free Hertz gold plus rewards president circle status by entering a code. In the last few days a lot of readers that entered the code are now seeing their status finally update. Status match is a real and relatively easy thing to do with car rental agencies. I like to use StatusMatcher to see what people have been able to successfully do. Here’s what to do and what to expect when you’re status matching:
- Enterprise. Use the online status match tool. You should receive Enterprise Plus Platinum.
- National. Use the online status match tool. You should receive Executive Elite.
- Avis. Send an e-mail to [email protected]. You should receive Avis Preferred Plus Premium status, they will also consider a to President Club status by calling in after the initial match is done.
- Europcar Privilege. Send an e-mail to [email protected]. You should receive Europcar Privilege Elite.
It might be wise to only match when you actually need the status or leave one unmatched. If you leave one unmatched you could match it in six months time, then in another six months time match back to President’s Club and keep the cycle going (e.g basically top tier status indefinitely).
When you’re e-mailing in you’ll want to send in the printable card along with the status you want to be matched to. If you did the deal and aren’t seeing your updated status, make sure you’re checking on desktop not mobile. Also for some reason it’s has just not worked/updated for some people.
If you missed out on the deal even though the landing page isn’t working anymore, entering the code is. You might still have to wait a long time to actually get your status and maybe you’ll never get it but never hurts to try. If you have a World Elite Mastercard you should be able to get President Circle status by e-mailing Hertz and adding the following CDP: 1795034. More discussion of this here.

Just want to report back that my Europcar status match request was denied with the following response:
“Unfortunatly we do not have status match at Europcar company.”
Enterprise status match request on January 4, 2018, got matched today 01/18/2018. The emails says it might takes a few days for the status to get updated in the website.
I just submitted the Hertz card I get from my portal (which has no expiration date on it)
Is there any promotion out there for avis/national/enterprise that I shouldn’t go ahead and create new accounts for each of those as I don’t have any account for those rental companies?
Any referral or codes to enter when creating new accounts which may benefit another?

Ps, where can I find details of what each statutes does for you at those rental companies?
Also isn’t it better to have 2 pc’s statutes that way if something happens to one you have another to back up?
As well your limited to one rental company per 6mnths vs having 2-3 pc statutes(or what ever they are called by each company)you can choose and take the best offers and rates from amongst those three which you have statutes by?
Has anyone had success getting Avis to match? I’ve sent 2 emails and haven’t even received a reply.
Me neither….either they are just ignoring us or are backlogged with everyone trying to match at the same time.
They finally matched me to Preferred Plus. I called in after to get matched to the top level but was shot down. Their response – “We are not going to be matching that”
I emailed Avis on May 8th and got an email back on May 10th matching my Hertz Five Star to Avis Preferred Plus.
About expiration date, Evan said: The email that you received from Hertz alerting you of your President Circle status upgrade should have the expiration date. For some reason, I don’t see it in the confirmation email. How everyone else found it?

You can just print it off
They automatically sent me a card – I never requested it. Card does not have an expiration date.

I matched to Avis Preferred Plus Premium, however they asked me to call in to match to President’s Club. The folks on the call in number though said I’d have to talk to my company’s rep instead of calling in. Weird.
Thanks for posting this! I totally forgot about this and got an email about getting Hertz Status and was utterly confused, albeit happy about it.
When they do the status match, it the status good for a year? If so, wouldn’t it be better to do the match mid-year so you can just keep matching statuses against each other forever?
I requested one match then had the same thought, so I stopped. You can keep playing the game infinitely with calendar reminders this way, as long as status matches don’t have a limit…
