Save 10% at Staples, Lowe’s, Boxed, and Dell with Personal Amex Cards Too

We reported earlier today on new Amex Offer deals which showed up today for 10% off at Staples, Lowes, Boxed, and Dell through June. The print of the offer shows it as a business card deal, and that’s how we reported it initially, yet readers point out that it’s showing on personal cards as well. Just a headsup here.

Though the verbiage of the offer is “get 10% back using your enrolled business card”, it’s fair to assume it’ll work fine on any card it’s saved on. Just double check before actually using to ensure that it hasn’t disappeared, in case Amex decides to pull this back. Maybe screenshot too.

Update from Will: If you have an offer on both business & personal, definitely add it to the business card. I don’t trust American Express at all, so I wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t honor ones on personal cards.

William Charles Update: Got 10% back when the offer was added to my personal every day card but only received $30.90 not $50 for buying $500 worth of visa gift cards. It looks like the 2 cards were processed as 2 separate transactions and I only received 10% back for the $300 card. Sucks I didn’t get the $50 back but its better than nothing.

I saw these offers on my card this morning but did not add them yet. Logged in just now and all of them are gone. I’m hoping it’s just a glitch.

I saw them at 7:30am local, when. I went to add them at 8:45, they were gone. All of the above commenters saying they weren’t targeted just don’t realize the AO’s were already dead before they logged in to check.

That was way too quick to hit the enrollment limit. Amex may have screwed up with opening it to personal cards, many more of them.stinks for those who missed out with legit cards.

I got all the offers on most of my cards including personal Plat as well as BBP. I tried multi-browser trick and it didn’t work. But like a fool, i added it to Plat first, even though BBP earns more as well. Now too late to switch.

I wonder if the offer is showing up only on those personal cards which were linked to the business offers using the glitch link the last time these offers came out? That would explain why this new “business offer” system (which is designed to replace OPEN Savings) still thinks those cards are business cards for the purpose of this offer. Are there any DPs of personal cards which have this offer that weren’t linked up in order to get the offers to show the last time? I can’t check since all of mine were linked last time. If you remember, the last time, originally only business cards were showing the offer, but there was a link where you could log in and add the offers to any card.

Showed up on AU Amex Blue which is not in any way linked to my business card and I did not do any glitches last time.

I didn’t use the glitch link last year and I did have the offers on my personal cards this time but I only added them to two separate SSN cards.

not a single one on ~20 accounts 🙁
edit:
well, about 8 gave me no offers and the usual error of “oops, this doesn’t happen often”

Is this new round of offers after the ones that ended in November 2018?

Also can it be done on Multiple cards?

Got Lowe’s and Staples offers on my recently upgraded BCP card. Not a business card at all. Interestingly the Staples offered shows up for both me and P2(and let me add to both cards), but I will only use one after reading about the clawbacks that it’s one per account not per card.

If the second card is under a different SSN, you should be fine. It’s one per American Express Card Member.
