We are excited that members are able to use the SimplyMiles platform to earn AAdvantage miles on every day purchases.
Update 12/14/21: Dead now. The notice says:
The 5X AAdvantage promotion offer has reached its cap and has ended. Purchases made after 12 AM ET on December 13, 2021 no longer qualify for the 5X bonus.

Charity Conservation International is offering 40 miles per dollar donated, under this offer you’d receive 240 miles per dollar donated (VFTW has confirmed this). This offer doesn’t show on all accounts, especially new accounts. This means you can purchase miles for 0.416¢ each, which is an incredible deal (it would also be SimplyMiles/American Airlines offering the bonus miles so it’s not like the charity will be negatively impacted either). My miles posted around New year on both AA and Simplymiles but now the posting on AA is gone. My Simplymiles account still show the bonus miles but my AA account only showing activities up to July (and I didn’t have anything until December). Anyway the posted miles on AA are gone. Anyone else seeing the same thing? The bonus is still on Simplymiles for now but I could be gone again with how things have been.
Anyone’s miles not post? I have tried contacting Simply Miles through through their customer service but no reply. I will do a charge back to my card if i dont get a reply before my credit card due date.
I made a $200 donation on 12/13. Only later, after the 5x promotion had ended did I realize I had not used a previously linked AA card. I went ahead and linked the Citi AA card I had used for the promotion purchase, but after the deadline.
I had hoped for 48k miles, but only received 8k.
Lesson learned: do a better a job of reading the T&C.
But today I received this message:
“Thank you for using your SimplyMiles offer at Conservation International. Based on your qualifying purchase of $.00 on 12/13/2021, we will credit 40,005 miles to your AAdvantage® account.”
The full 48k show as earned on the SimplyMiles site, but have not yet posted to my AA account.
At least you got that. I used a linked card for two separate transactions and received nothing through Simply.

LOL, it can take several weeks, and yes, that box. Also, as a follow-up to above, the long awaited miles have posted to my AA account.
For those of you who didn’t participate please don’t waste time being filled with regret. Every move is a risk vs. reward trade off. There was always the potential of losing hundreds or thousands of dollars with little mileage benefit. In other words, your instincts might have unfortunately told you to back off this time but might save you next time. And I honestly might have missed out myself except it was end of year time to make donations anyway so the timing just happened to be right for some of us. Better luck in 2022!
240 million miles posted to my account after my 1 million dollar donation.
72,000 miles showed up today for my $300 donation. Really, really, really wish I’d done more! But hey, at least I got something!!! 🙂
I missed the charity one but did the Winc one but those miles never posted. Will give it another few days.
