  • Southwest Shopping Portal is offering a bonus until August 18th. Bonus you receive depends on how much you spend and is broken down as follows (you only receive the bonus on the highest tier you reach):
    • Spend $150, get 250 miles (works out to be extra 2x miles per $1 spent)
    • Spend $300 get 900 miles (works out to be extra 3x miles per $1 spent)
    • Spend $550, get 2,000 miles (works out to be an extra 3.63x miles per $1)

The Fine Print

  • During the “Back to School” bonus campaign, which runs from July 24, 2017 through August 18, 2017 at 11:59 p.m. ET (the “Bonus Period”), Member will earn a one-time bonus of up to 2,000 bonus points on qualifying purchases, in addition to the standard points earned from shopping online through Rapid Rewards Shopping®.
  • This one-time bonus award will be determined using one of the following tiers, based on Member’s cumulative qualifying purchases made during the Bonus Period: Tier 1 bonus: 250 points for qualifying purchases of at least $125; Tier 2 bonus: 900 points for qualifying purchases of at least $300; or Tier 3 bonus: 2,000 points for qualifying purchases of $550 or more.
  • “Qualifying purchases” do not include returns, cancellations, shipping and handling, taxes, gift card or other cash equivalent purchases, and certain products that are not eligible for bonus points. Please see the Rapid Rewards Shopping site for details on product eligibility and other restrictions. Please allow up to 10 weeks after the Bonus Period for bonus points to post to your Rapid Rewards® account.
  • The Tier 3 bonus provides the maximum number of points that will be awarded. Void where prohibited by law. All Rapid Rewards® rules and regulations apply and can be found at Southwest.com/rrterms.
  • Bonus points will not count toward A-List, A-List Preferred, or Companion Pass qualification. Southwest® reserves the right to amend, suspend, or change the Rapid Rewards program and/or Rapid Rewards program rules at any time without notice.

Other bonuses are more generous that Southwest, but what offer you prefer will depend on how you value each currency and what their regular rates are like as well. As always, compare to see that you are getting a good deal by using the AAdvantage or United portal instead of another portal.

any chance Southwest portal can stack with Chase’s Walmart 10x for Freedom/Sapphire cards if I use it to buy Visa gc? I don’t see any exclusion for gc purchase on the Southwest Rapid Rewards Portal. Can someone confirm?
