Our Verdict
Not a bad deal if you can easily liquidate the Visa gift cards; helps subsidize the cost of the INK points. For more info on the Staples Easy Rebates system see All You Need to Know About Staples Easy Rebates.
I’ve heard that you have to pay to activate the Visa cards. If that’s so, that could make the card you get from the rebate reimbursement for the fees, but not such a great deal. What’s the real story?
What bank is the 15 dollar prepaid card issued from? Metabank can it be used to load serve?
What are the other cards we can use if we don’t have ink plus?
Amex Simply Cash
Any non-business card to recommend?
Not really, basically all are business cards: https://www.doctorofcredit.com/best-credit-cards-for-office-supply-purchases/
if you don’t have Chase Ink or ASC use this to make min spend on CSR perhaps?
I’ve never purchased a Visa Gift Card…. amazing I know. My kid’s preschool takes debit but not credit. Do you guys think Visa prepaid gift card would be accepted? Thanks
probably not – it’s “Debit” and has a PIN, but it’s no good for most online bill payments b/c it’s not linked to your name or home address.
but you can use them at point-of-sale registers (for to buy MO’s at USPS, WM, etc) – and you can use them on Amazon or other merchants like that.
Thanks.
They actually physically swipe the card — i think. Does that make a difference?
only one way to find out, give it a try
Yes definitely should work. This is a great promo to try it out.
