Our Verdict

Sounds like you have to go in-store to be eligible for this deal. Reader Jim Jones gives a few suggestions of what to buy to keep the costs down to around $16 which would turn out a yield of around $14. Especially worthwhile if you find the product useful. Similar offer available on MyPoints as well.

Hat tip to readers Jim Jones, Davis, and RocDoc

Went Home Depot and bought 2 like you all said, offer disappeared on swagbucks after getting home, guess I will return them next week. Nice try.

Ya it’s dead. Not on Swagbucks, MyPoints, InboxDollars, or Tada. Looks like there was only a two day window when it worked.

It’s called doctorofcredit effect, once shown here, it’s gone shortly after due to overwhelming response? By doc readers, I guess. Lol

you might want to watch for a day or two to see if it comes back — it disappeared briefly at least once this week and came back. never know.

(the whole unexpectedly pulling offers thing makes for a real crappy experience — been there more than once)

Can confirm instant points for both Swagbucks and Mypoints using Home Depot. Bought the same item as @Jim Jones

This deal is still showing for me on Swagbucks and MyPoints.

I purchased 4 of these from Home Depot (in store) and I was credited instantly on MyPoints and Swagbucks.

I submitted one of the receipts that had 2 headlamps to Swagbucks and I submitted another receipt that had 2 headlamps to MyPoints. I use different emails for MyPoints and Swagbucks.

Conceivably you could do it on InboxDollars and Tada too

Yes. Two at a time per receipt. Thanks! I will try those also.

I didn’t see the offer on InboxDollars or Tada.

This appears to be dead now.

Important reminder with Swagbucks: when the offer is pulled, it is pulled — you can’t submit for credit unless the offer is still alive when you go to submit, so don’t sit on receipts, particularly for offers that seem too lucrative. I’ve been burned by this in the past.

I’ve never had any issues doing dozens of Magic Receipts deals over the years, but I always exclusively use Walmart.

Unfortunately it doesn’t look like Walmart is a qualifying store for this particular deal…

FYI  Chuck this deal is also available on Upromise, so you can really scale this up together with SB and MP if you get this to work for you at a nearby store:

Just a caution when it comes to using multiple programs: all of these Swagbucks offers explicitly exclude receipts “linked to other promotions”. In particular, Swagbucks/Mypoints/Upromise and the other Prodege sites all use the same backend for these promotions. In my opinion, given how trigger-happy Swagbucks is with banning people, you’re asking for trouble if you try to submit the same purchase for multiple promotions, particularly within the Prodege family but even outside too.

When it comes to making separate purchases to redeem on separate programs, I haven’t seen anyone run into trouble doing that, and it doesn’t seem like Prodege has explicitly prohibited that. (That being said, even that feels like a bit of a grey zone — I’m not particularly comfortable doing that myself.)

so do we basically enroll the offers on both Upromise and SB, then upload the same receipt to each site?

Jay

No, you need to make separate purchases so that you can upload different receipts to each site. Unless you don’t value your accounts.

Good luck finding most of these, my local stores have similar models but not the ones on the list.

+1 I spent longer than I care to admit cross-referencing the list of energizer lights with my local stores without success. I didn’t find much that would make this a MM.

For anyone who wants to make a quick buck on this deal, my advice is: DON’T. Save yourself some time and headache. I bought from Home Depot, rejected then review rejected; bought from Lowe’s, it was automatically rejected, i didn’t even bother request review, returned both sets already. I think they set up automatic rejection on purpose and hope half people either forget or don’t bother to return. What a wasted time.

It is highly likely. Walmart is the only store that reliably gives points automatically for me. And if they don’t, you have 3 months. Costco would another reliable store (i.e. if SB doesn’t pay, return), but these lights are not probably available at Costco.

+1 I had the exact same experience. I do a lot of swagbucks magic receipts and this is one of those I would stay away from…

I never did one of these before. Do online purchases of these lights count? Could I upload e-mail receipt from online purchase? Davis
