The Offer

  • Swagbucks is offering $56 when you get to level 17 in King Of Avalon game.

Our Verdict

There is a full guide here on how you can get that level within 4 days without spending money. There is another guide here that shows how to do it in two and a bit hours. I probably won’t bother to do this because I’m lazy and hate these sorts of games even if I’m gaming the system. For others this will be a relatively easy $48.

Android or iOS? Android generally tracks better.

Took 10 days, 11 dollars, and a whole lot of time to get to level 21. Probably could have done it a day or maybe even three earlier, but was a bit more conservative in how I played in case I needed to get to level 25 instead of 21. I also played a very similar game for over a year, which helped me a bit, but not as much as I originally thought it would. I bought the second construction slot ($5), the hero Evain ($1), and an iron resource pack that came with some gold. I think the first two were both worth it. The last probably was too, but I had so much excess gold and stuff that I think I could’ve done it more cheaply. Resources (particularly iron and silver late in the game, and wood to a lesser extent) were the main constraints. I don’t attack other players and got by on: 1. The farms can produce and store a lot. I recommend upgrading them. 2. I sent my troops out to gather resources pretty nonstop. I did research at the university to increase my gathering speed and get a third march slot. Some heroes gather faster than others, and increasingly so if you level them up. That said, some heroes can outright reduce how much you need in resources, and I found that to make a bigger difference than gathering rate. I also bought gathering buffs from the alliance store. 3. As you level up your lord, you get talent points. One of the lower level talents is a skill that lets you collect an extra 5 hours worth of farm production every 12 hours. Massively helpful. 4. The wishing well also gives resources. 5. You can buy resources in the boat outside your land every day using points from the side adventures (you can get a lot of food and wood from the adventures themselves) and in the alliance store. Being able to beat the adventures depends on your hero levels, dragon level, and 6. Barbarian camp attacks (these require other alliance members to also help) gave a ton of resources to store away. 7. Your alliance can also give you resources. Claim them from territory. 8. I got gold and resources just around. There’s a treasure chest that regularly appears, alliance chests with gold, resources for looking at certain deals, etc.. I used gold on my last upgrade to cover the resource shortfall. 9. I rarely held any resources above my storage limit to avoid looting. I only got attacked once or twice because it didn’t really make sense to attack me. I also looked up what buildings were prereqs for my stronghold upgrade. The information was often off, but it meant I could just focus on what I actually needed to upgrade. The wall always has to be upgraded to move to the next stronghold level. Level 21 needs a level 20 lumber farm. I don’t remember the specifics, but I… Read more »

Anyone out there that’s fine this willing to help as a farm for me? Despite some spend, looking near impossible to get to level 25 with 5 more days to go… in game name is djacks174 if you care to save me!

You should only need to get to 21. I don’t know if I could’ve done 25 myself either, but it posted early.

How long after level 21 did you see swagbucks update?

It was near instantaneous — it always showed under my “Visited” offers, and once 21 was done, I checked and it was pending (like less than 2 or 3 minutes). It is in pending for the next 6 days.

Yep, it was pretty immediate after hitting 21 for me as well.

Came here to echo that the guides in the post are out of date and this is much harder than it sounds. I am on Stronghold level 18 after around $45 spent and 5 days of very active playtime and it’s only getting tougher. I don’t see myself getting to level 21 (what most people claim you need for SB to pend) in any less than 4 more days. However, I am happy to share some tips:

1. The paid content I bought were the extra builder, the hero Evaine that helps you build much faster, the growth pack that gives you gold on different level milestones, the construction pack you get at level 10 (marked as Rare in the top right), and random smaller $1 things for events here and there. I think all of these did help me A LOT.
2. Time is a precious resource in this game, so you should always have a timer on, because you do eventually run out of speed boosts. This means that you should always have 2 building queues, all troop buildings, and research timers on at all times. Set up some big ones before you go to sleep to make the best of it, and send your army to gather resources since this can take hours.
3. The game does a decent job letting you know some reward can be redeemed or something can be upgraded (red dot) but in some cases you have to remember to check things yourself and upgrade them, or risk missing out on advancement. For example, the achievement tab in the Lord menu and the blacksmith for forging new equipment (at higher levels), the Dragon offerings menu (which gives very powerful upgrades to your dragon), and the Path of Legend minigame (inside the boat). The game won’t generally remind you to do these things.
4. Attacking other players is risky business so be absolutely sure you know what you’re doing. I burned myself when I attacked this guy who teleported into the middle of our alliance because his troops were coming back slower than my force and the castle seemed to have no defense. But then I think he used a march boost and got there seconds before me, causing me to lose 20k troops, which was half of my force at the time. If I knew what I was doing I would have used a Call Back item on them in the 5 or so seconds I had. Don’t casually attack people because you can lose a ton of troops like me.

That’s all I could think of. Personally it’s kind of fun but very much a pay-to-win type of game so I don’t like supporting these kinds of developers and will probably avoid these kinds of offers in the future. It’s also just too much work. If you’re already committed, good luck!

The write-up on this is way out of date. You have to get to level 25 within 14 days and it is not easy without dumping a bunch of time and money into.

I’m at 4.5 days into it and $85 and I’m at level 16 and the progress is still just slow and I’m not sure if I’ll hit it or not. You have to be on top of it all damn day.

Update: I hit 21 in 7 days, which triggered the email from SB… so it still seems to be based on 21 and not 25 as others have indicated.
