Our Verdict
Not a very strong offer. Keep in mind this card also has a $195 annual fee and that is not waived at all. Don’t really think it makes sense for anybody to upgrade. well you get the points aaaaaaand the companion cert for upgrading, so kinda worth it imo if you can make a good use for it
Actually, it would be 15k miles and 2 companion certs for 1 full AF plus 1 pro-rated AF (because of the 12 month language). If you’re close to your anniversary date, you’d be getting one cert on the cheap
What if your Gold AF just hit? I’m trying ti do the math. I plan to keep the Gold card due to the baggage fee waiver on the first bag, I have no MQM need.
