The Offer
Some people are now seeing a targeted signup bonus offer on the Premier Rewards Gold card without any lifetime limitation mentioned. Check your online Amex login in the ‘Amex Offers’ section to see if you were targeted:
- Earn 50,000 Points after you spend $2,000 on purchases on your new Card in your first 3 months of Card Membership on the American Express Premier Rewards Gold Card. Annual fee of $195 is also waived first year.
Others are seeing a similar offer without lifetime language, but for just 25,000 bonus points after spending $1,000 within 3 months.

Card Details
- You can only get the sign up bonus on every American Express card once per lifetime. This is not mentioned on this offer (double check your own offer).
- Annual fee of $195 is waived for the first year
- $100 airline incidental credit
- Card earns at the following rates:
- 3x points on flights booked directly with airlines
- 2x points on purchases made at U.S gas stations, U.S. Restaurants & U.S supermarkets
- 1x points on all other purchases
- No foreign transaction fees
Our Verdict
Great offer if you’re targeted, even if you’ve had the card before as it doesn’t contain any lifetime language (make sure to double check your own offer). I don’t see any offer on my card.
We’ve seen PRG go up to 65,000, but that was split up over two years. The 50k offer is excellent even for those who never had the card before. The 25k offer is mainly worth considering if you have had the card already.
