Our Verdict
They had a similar deal earlier in the year but that required $250 in spend and was highly targeted. I’m guessing that due to COVID-19 we’re seeing the lower spend requirement and a lot more people will be targeted for this offer. In the past purchasing gift cards at the front desk has triggered the offer despite the terms, but YMMV and who knows with American Express these days.

Yep. Mine works. Didn’t receive the usual amex offer email, but showing up in the redeemed offer tab.
While it shows up in your redeemed offer tab, did you actually receive the credit? I have it in my redeemed offer tab too, but haven’t got the credit and it has been more than 5 days. Usually amex offer post pretty quick, but this one seems a little different.

Since the offer states it will work online for specific types of charges, any DP on buying GC online despite the exclusion? Marriott physical GC ordered online works to trigger the Brilliant $300 annual credit, so just wondering if anyone had luck with an amex offer.

I added it to my Bonvoy Brilliant, but forgot to add it to my Additional cards, on which it was also showing up. I can’t see it on my Additional cards anymore. 🙁

Just found this on my Bonvoy Brilliant! Added it along with the +4pts per dollar spent offer. Should come in handy seeing as I’ve currently been staying in a Marriott hotel for the past month and still have 3 more months to go! Gotta love work trips that let you charge on your personal card.
Are they doing housekeeping service once a week? Or has the frequency increased now?
I got the $50/$200 offer on Amex Bonvoy biz and P2 got it on her Plat. We’ll use them both next week.
