[Expired] [Targeted] Amex Offers: Save 10-20% on Cell Phone Bills, up to $50 (Expires 12/31/19)

Deal has expired, view more AmEx offers by clicking here.

Update 9/25/19: Looks like more people have been targeted, but this time it’s only 10% back with a $10 cap.

The Offer

No direct link, check the Amex Offers on your American Express business cards to see if you were targeted

  • Get 20% back on your cell phone bill with a US-based wireless provider by 12/31/19. Limit $50 in total statement credits.

The Fine Print

  • Expires 12/31/2019

Our Verdict

This is obviously a terrific offer for most people. No luck for me on this one. AT&T users should be able to even double dip and get $100 off $175 + 20% back, if you find both offers on the same card.

If anyone can paste the full fine print in the comments or send it over to chuck@doctorofcredit,  please do so. We’ll add an image as well if someone can supply it.

Enrollment limited. Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem. Only U.S.-issued American Express® Business Cards are eligible. Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels. Your enrollment of an eligible American Express Card for this offer extends only to that Card. Offer valid for payments for wireless cell phone service charges made directly with US wireless cell phone service providers via online, mobile app, or by phone. Excludes purchases made with third parties, authorized retailers or re-sellers. Purchases for VoIP, hardware (including phones and accessories), equipment, and bundled home/cable services are also excluded. Merchants are assigned codes based on what they primarily sell. Your transaction will not qualify if the merchant’s code is not eligible. Offer is non-transferable. Limit of $50 in total statement credits per Card Member. The enrolled Card account must not be cancelled or past due to receive statement credits. Any benefit earned from this offer is in addition to the rewards (i.e. Membership Rewards or cash back) earned as part of your existing Card benefits, but your ability to earn spend-based rewards for the purchase will be based on the amount after any statement credit or other discount is applied. Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/31/2019, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase. Note that American Express may not receive information about your qualifying purchase from merchant until all items from your qualifying purchase have been provided/shipped by merchant. Statement credit may be reversed if qualifying purchase is returned/cancelled. If American Express does not receive information that identifies your transaction as qualifying for the offer, you will not receive the statement credit. For example, your transaction will not qualify if it is not made directly with the merchant. In addition, in most cases, you may not receive the statement credit if your transaction is made with an electronic wallet or through a third party or if the merchant uses a mobile or wireless card reader to process it. By adding an offer to a Card, you agree that American Express may send you communications about the offer. POID: K0AG:0001

Ben yes, I can personally confirm Cricket will trigger it.

Mike Yes, just did it and offer is redeemed.

This offer does not have the “one or more purchases” language. Wonder if the whole $250 needs to be charged at once to trigger the full $50 credit.

No luck with this one, but while going through all my cards for it, I got (ATT Business Wireless $175/10K MR) up to two times on my business plat.Boxed $75/$10 on my Gold and Boxed $75/$20 on my green cards (both personal).

vz
vz

sucks to have vz unlimited w/ autopay where you need to use debit to get the monthly discount. intrestingly, when i pay with a chase/visa card, vz doesnt seem to care.

but if i enter my amex card #, i get a warning message that my autopay discount will be removed from my account because im not using a debit card.
