Quite a few readers received this offer and asked if targeted e-mail offers like this by pass the 5/24 rule. The answer is no, but I wonder if receiving such an e-mail means you’re also eligible for the pre-approved $300 offer in branch offer as well? (update at least one reader received this offer but isn’t targeted in branch for a pre-approval) As those in branch pre-approved offers do by pass 5/24. Offer itself is pretty good, normal bonus is $150 after $500 in spend so this is double normal. Probably worth getting if you’re under 5/24, but that really depends what other Chase cards you want to get and focus on. I received email for $300 bonus but in branch pre approval showed $150 .. Shall I give it a try and apply online? 5/24 rule applies to me
I don’t think you’ll be approved if you apply online, maybe try applying in branch and asking for the match
Got email and went to a branch to see pre-approved or not. The answer was YES. Applied and approved immediately today.

Was able to get the 30k CFU offer in branch by asking for preapprovals. Never received this email from Chase. Well over 5/24, not CPC, had 3 cards before applying for this 30k offer.

Last week, Tuesday October 10th.
I applied for this card for $150 after 500. I received email for $300 offer a couple of days ago.I called up Customer care but got a reply that this cannot be applied to my card. I called them again today and the representative assured that this offer can be applied to my account after i finish my $500 spend.I just need to call them after this.
