Our Verdict
This account has a 1.11% APY for the first year, that drops to 0.61% on the first $100,000 after that introductory rate runs out. They also offered a similar bonus last year, but it was up to $600 instead of only $500. This bonus works out to be up to an additional 0.2%Â for three months. Most people won’t have $250,000 laying around, I also don’t think moving around such large sums is worth it. The 1.11% rate isn’t bad, but that’s only for the first year and other accounts offer higher rates without that year restriction. You can also view more savings account bonuses by clicking here.
Well even if you have 250,000 laying around you could earn about 1250 bucks in 3 months in a 2 percent account. Versus 687 bucks in this account at 1.1% even adding a 500 buck bonus this barely becomes competitive. And you had to be targeted for it.
Try harder everbank.
They are trolling for suckers.
Lots of banks offering much better rates; keep shopping!
