This is being sent out to Toys R Us cardholders that have been converted to a Synchrony 2% card. Definitely worth doing if you get the offer as $250 in spend is nothing and $100 is a nice reward, plus you’re keeping your account history so activating the new card doesn’t cause a hard pull and won’t cause a new card to be reported to your credit report either.
I found this article after I searched the web for “synchrony toys r us 100 adjustment”. I just started using my card and saw an entry for this…I didn’t even know that it was coming. I’m really amazed at how quick it was – normally offers like this take weeks to appear.
I was offered the $100 back after $500 purchase. Decent offer considering I was just going to retire it but now I’ll do the spend for essentially 20% off!
I got the offer but haven’t received the new card yet.
Mine is $100 for a $500 spend between June-August. That $250 would have been nice, though.
I wish I would have gotten a similar offer back when I activated my PayPal Cashback Mastercard which is similar to this card from Synchrony. I will keep checking the “offers” page which has yet to show some offers that the Extras mastercard features from time to time.
I was only offered $50… Not horrible for what could’ve been a closed card.
