Deal has ended, view more spending offers by clicking here.
Update: Looks like it’s only 50% on the base spend, meaning the 2x categories only earn 2.5x not 3x
The Offer
- U.S. Bank has sent out a snail mail to some Business FlexPerks cardholders offering them 50% more points on all purchase after they spend $1,500.
The Fine Print
- Spend period is June 1st – July 31st
- Must enroll first, must enroll by June 30th
Our Verdict
This card earns:
- Earn 2X FlexPoints for every $1 spent at gas stations, office supply stores, or airlines — whichever you spend most on each monthly billing cycle.
- Earn 2X FlexPoints on qualifying charitable donations. Choose from a wide range of eligible local, national and international charities.
So that would make those categories 3x after the $1,500 in spend. You can view how much FlexPerks are worth here. Probably not an offer worth considering for most people.
Hat tip to reader VML
Since I didn’t see a separate post on it:
I received an offer in the mail this week for my Select+ FlexPerks AmEx for 2 additional points per dollar spent at groceries and pharmacies (2000 bonus points max) from 6/1 – 7/31. Select+ is normally one point everywhere. I have done & should still be able to transfer points to P2 Altitude Reserve card, resulting in $45 value through the Altitude travel portal on $1000 spend.
Or $50 on the same spend with Citi Dividend this quarter, at least $50 with Chase Freedom depending on transfer/cash out options, or $50 with AmEx Gold cashed out via Schwab Platinum, all standard non-pandemic offers. Try harder, US Bank.
Got the same offer on my Comerica business credit card.
it’s actually even worse than that – you have to spend $1500 after which you earn an additional 0.5 points for every $1 in net spend👎
Yeah I feel like US Bank is not even trying here. On my Radisson card (which earns 5x points at baseline, since Radisson points are not worth much), US Bank sent a targeted offer for 2 extra points per $ at grocery & drug stores. Compared to what others are offering at grocery stores, this was almost laughable.
Updated, thanks
