I got an offer for $300 for the USAA Preferred Cash Rewards Visa Signature Credit Card when I spend $3,000. Seems like a great deal that I’ll probably act on.

Usaa is the worst insurance co i have ever delt with and there banking sidd is aweful too. Three renters claims of theft and vandalisim, all of them were basically denied beforevi finished the paperwork. Seriousl they treated me as the villan, then used ebpvery delayvtactic possible hoping that we would cross re deadline date. Dont believe me just use google and do your own research. There are law firms who have dedicated teams to just dealbwith badvfaith clauses. I will probsnlly get tortured or jumped by a gang of adjusters and be beaten down and paper cut with denial letters

I did two chargebacks with USAA limitless card and USAA denied both cases and let the merchants get away. I’m sure I would have won if it was Amex…

Be careful with their pre-approvals. They are often not solid.

If you already have a USAA credit card or two and your combined limits are $50,000, you have reached maximum exposure. Still, they will still send you pre-approvals and when you apply they will pull your credit report only to deny you because you have already reached maximum exposure. Seems pretty shady.

They are currently facing a lot of blowback on this as there have been multiple CFP complaints. They say they are trying to fix the issue, but it’s all b.s. This has been happening for years.

If USAA is looking to grow their credit card business, they should loosen up their membership requirements.
