U.S. Bank Increasing SkyPass Annual Fee To $95 & Other Card Changes

According to Windbag Miles U.S. Bank has sent out a letter to Korean Air SKYPASS Visa Signature cardholders letting them know about a number changes that go into effect on August 27th, 2018. Those changes are:

  • Annual fee is increasing to $95, up from $80
  • Card will earn 2x miles per $1 spent at gas stations and hotels (in addition to Korean air ticket purchases)
  • Addition of a coupon for $50 off a Korean Air ticket purchase every year on annual renewal date

Don’t think the card was worth keeping after the first year before the changes and the value proposition doesn’t really change now. I guess if you can max out that coupon it’s an effective annual fee of $45 and you get above benefits and two lounge passes per year as well. Still not worth it in my opinion.
