[Live] Walmart+ Now Offers Free Unlimited 2-Day Shipping at Walmart.com with No Minimum

Walmart launched their Walmart+ subscription service a few months back with free deliveries from local Walmart stores. Starting Friday December 4, they’ll add free unlimited 2-day shipping on walmart.com orders with no minimum purchase amount. This makes the benefit more similar to Amazon Prime.

Walmart Grocery deliveries still require the $35 minimum. It’s only the ordinary Walmart.com delivery that are now getting free shipping with no minimum.

I didn’t really consider Walmart+ until now, but now it seems interesting. Not sure whether the benefit is worth the $98/yr or $12.95/mo cost for me, but given some stacking, I am considering it:

You can also sign up for one month if there’s a small time-frame where you find yourself needing many items online, e.g. during the holiday season.

I’d really like to see how this tests in the real world since sometimes retailers have ways of excluding certain products, etc, but I’m willing to give them a shot. It’s also good to see someone compete in a real way with Amazon. The Walmart.com 5% credit card gets more interesting now as well.

Got an email from Dosh this morning that they’re going to have “special” Cashback Dec 7-9 for Walmart + up to $25. Sounds like it will be more than the 10%.

Hmm, interesting. On the other hand, this $25 will likely require a click-through which means you lose the $55/$80 from Swagbucks.

Turns out it is $25 but only for the annual so you’re right, better to go through SB.

So on my Swagbucks I see the offer, which states it is 7500 SB for signing up for the Annual membership. But, when I click on the button I get a landing page that tells me:

5000 SB – Paid annual subscription
1000 SB – Paid monthly subscription
500 SB – Walmart+ Free trial
500 SB – *Spend $35+ on your first Walmart+

Which is the correct one?

Then, on top of this, I’m seeing:
Purchase must be made with in 21 days of starting your Walmart+ Trial. Cash Back will post within 60 days.

Cash Back for the subscription will be awarded after the Free Trial ends.

If I check out my BoA deal for Walmart+ (only $5 btw), it says it expires on December 16, which is not enough time to allow the trial to expire and trigger the auto-renew.

Question 1: is it going to be 5000 SB? Or 7500 SB as the offer says?
Question 2: do I need to let the trial expire and trigger the auto-renew OR, do I just initiate a 1 year membership during the 15 day window to get the 500 SB plus the annual 5000/7500SB?
Question 3: If I initiate the annual subscription so I can make use of my BoA offer before it expires, will I lose out on the 500SB for the free trial?

2 day shipping is worthless if the items don’t ship immediately like amazon.

Ibotta has an offer right now to earn $5 back if you sign up for a free trial of Walmart +. The trial is for 2 weeks, but right after I signed up it offered to extend the trial to a month if I answered a few easy questions. The $5 from Ibotta was pending in my account a few hours later

Be curious to know if they will be using DoorDash drivers like they do for my grocery deliveries or if they’ll be actually shipping like Amazon does.

I think they utilize postmates or DoorDash whatever they contracted with in your area.

They don’t have the infrastructure for delivery yet so they’ll have to use somebody. Only idiot doordash drivers take Walmart orders.

It sort of worked for me. I got free shipping on a $6 railing planter bracket, but shipping looks like about 10 days.
