Direct link to offer

The Fine Print

  • Maximum of two stays for 15,000 bonus points.
  •  There are a limited number of bonus points available for this promotional offer-we may change or cancel this promotion at any time.
  • Resort fees apply at Caesars Entertainment properties, even for award nights, and cannot be paid with points.
  • Promotion and Wyndham Rewards points redemption are not available at La Quinta/LQ hotels.
  • See additional terms and conditions for details about this offer and free nights.

Our Verdict

Last time this was offered it died early due to popularity, so keep that in mind. 15,000 points is enough for a free night at any Wyndham property (it’s a flat 15,000). You can see some of the best Wyndham redemption here. This type of promotion is actually big enough to get me to consider changing my booking habits.  It’s also currently possible to get a 45,000 points on the Barclays credit card as well.

As a reader notes in the comments, stays must be at least $25 before resort fees.

So I stayed with this promotion at the days inn in san antonio, they canceled my reservation and let me know at the front desk, but the reinstated it. My points still havent gotten applied. Been on the phone, people trying to pass the buck. Corporate says to talk to the hotel. Little hotel says to corporate. Anyways, they wouldn’t do anything till six weeks were up. I have spent way too much time already on the phone with customer service. I think there masterpass payment processing has more than a few bugs. I got two confirmation emails. Not a happy customer! I am on the phone with them now while I am writing this. T

Has anyone not had their 7,500 bonus points post? I stayed 3 weeks ago, and was told points should post within 2-3 weeks.

They can confirm the stay qualification in 4 weeks. I contacted them via their message system online after 4 weeks on both stays and CSR initiated the points posting immediately on both ocasions.

Do we have to make two seperate bookings to get the 15k points?

Yes. And they can not be back to back in the same hotel. This will count as one stay.
Sorry for the late response, but could be useful for the next promo.

does anyone know if the 7,500 points will be in addition to the 10 points for dollar or do we forgo the traditional points? thanks!

For sure in addition. Also as usual with Wyndham even if your rate is below $100 you still get 1K points min per stay. Just keep in mind that stays less than $25 per night do not qualify for the promo.

Offer says you can do it either online or through their app. Last time I did this through their app and had no problem.

My question is that TCB offers 5% through their portal — does anyone see a reason why this would not stack with the Masterpass offer? There shouldn’t be a conflict with the cookies/tracking.

Do I have to use a Capital one mastercard or any master card tied to my masterpass account? It keep asking me to sign in to my capital one account when clicking on the masterpass symbol to pay’

If you open your masterpass account with CapitalOne card it will force you through CapitalOne masterpass.. if you add BofA, it will market it as BofA.

In fact you can add ANY card. I as a matter of fact adding my Amex. Works fine. I would suggest to add a non-affiliated card first, so the account you have has no affiliation, and then you can add any other card to it. Not sure if that would make a difference, but as @NinjaX mentioned the fewer moving parts are involved in the process the higher chances it will go smooth.

As it is their system somewhat cluncky. I personally did not have many problems but I know people who do.

So Caesars Entertainment properties also qualified, what if we are diamond and don’t have to pay the resort fee, would those booking still work?

anything besides LQ is “supposed” to work. however, this is not SPG or Marriott. meaning nothing ever works. after BS crap that happened with every single prior Visa and Mastercard promo, i have learned to go straight to Wyndham properties only.

this limits the number of 3rd parties involved. this promo has Wyndham involved, Mastercard involved, and the franchise properties + their software involved. you do NOT want to introduce other variables such as TR software and their properties connecting with Wyndham and their software then connecting with MC. it was a total waste of fucking time last time. Wyndham had to manually verify my stay with TR. fuck that.

not this again. i already know whats gonna happen. BUT, at least its not visa. they are the worst. Mastercard is actually better about it.

how will we know if it ends? i’m going to be travelling the first two weeks of august so I could do this if I knew it was going to be good to go.

That is the problem – you will not know. In the past I had not received Visa Chekout last of 3 bonuses … and they said it has ended on a given date due to the overwhelming response to the bonus… you can only call and ask few days before your stay.

Granted I saw both (masterpass and visacheckout previous promos) ending closer to the officially announced end date.. So, beginning of August you still have good chances.

Good luck.

The definition of qualfied stay is slightly different at wyndham. the regular rate must be $25 or more before tax and resort fee to be qualified. There is a super 8 “hotel” in vegas that has some nights at $24 they also have a $19.95 resort fee. That is not considered a qualified stay. I purchased it just to get the points for a future trip. checked in and never stayed it was a dump. didnt get the bonus. The response i got back from wyndham was that the rate was less than $25 so it was not qualified. After a lot of emails back and forth they gave me a goodwill credit but told me no future stays at below $25 would be considered qualified. its buried in their T&C under qualified stays but not in the promo material it just leaves a reference to it

Good detail — thanks Gary. Reminds me of the Vegas Days Inn (?) — just a block off the strip. (I see it still often goes for $22/night — plus separate “resort fee” — even though it’s more of a truck stop than a “resort.”) On the plus side, unlike most of the Vegas offerings, it includes a Denny’s breakfast….
