  • Get $10 off at Amazon when you change your 1-click defaul payment method to an eligible Chase credit card

How To Get This Offer

  • Log into the Amazon app
  • Turn off 1 click settings if you have it enabled (change your card to something other than Chase first)
  • Keep refreshing the home page until the offer loads. You can also try closing/reopening the app

The Fine Print

  • This promotional offer applies to the purchase of eligible items made with a valid Chase card. The $10 credit may be redeemed on the purchase of physical products sold and shipped by Amazon.com and excludes gift cards, Kindle eBooks, instant videos, MP3s, and all other digital content and downloads.
  • This offer is available only to customers who were served an advertisement promoting the offer. To claim the offer, the customer must first click through the ad and then complete the additional actions described.
  • An Amazon.com account with a valid Chase card is required to claim and redeem this credit. If for any reason your Chase card is inactive, denied, or ineligible, you will not be eligible to claim or redeem this credit. You are responsible for the final purchase price after the credit is applied, plus applicable taxes and shipping charges.
  • The credit must be redeemed by 11:59 p.m. PT on September 30, 2017. Unredeemed credit will expire after that time. If any of the products purchased with the credit are returned, your refund will equal the amount you paid for the product, subject to applicable refund policies. Credit redeemed on a Kindle or Fire device will be applied to the Amazon.com account registered to the device.
  • This promotional offer is valid for a limited time only. The offer is limited to one per customer and account. Amazon reserves the right to modify or cancel the offer at any time. If you violate any of these terms, the offer will be invalid, and the credit will not apply. This offer may not be resold, is nontransferable, is not redeemable for cash, and is void where prohibited by law and in case of fraud. This offer may not be combined with other offers.

Our Verdict

To get this offer to appear it might help to disable the one click setting if you have it enabled and then open the Amazon app, refreshing the home page in app might also help. There is also a similar deal with Citi. There are so many ways to save money on Amazon like this and that’s why we created this dedicated page to list them all. We will add this promotion to this page. As always a big thanks to anybody who uses our links, just remember you could be earning 3x JetBlue points instead.

  1. Credit says:

I had this on citi. Applied it and then locked my card. The credit won’t apply anymore.

When you are trying to purchae amazon actually send a fake transaction on the card to see if it’s still active.

  2. Peter says:

got message – Sorry your request for this promotion is not eligible. YMMV

  3. Steve says:

Thanks! I followed your directions and it popped up on the app right away!

  4. Db77 says:

So I followed your instructions and after about 20 times of refreshing the front page it finally popped up. When changing to my Chase card, it said ‘You need to add a Chase card’. After trying to input my card, I gave up and tried customer service. The csr was confused about this being on the front page and insisted this was a targeted offer only

  5. Jeff H says:

excludes gift cards, Kindle eBooks, instant videos, MP3s, and all other digital content and downloads.

Given that, I don’t think I will play. GCs and online videos is all I do on Amazon.

  6. RJ says:

Thanks DOC, worked for me once I figured out I wasn’t in the app!

  7. richard says:

Sorry your request for this promotion is not eligible.

  8. NoonRadar says:

Thanks, worked for me, had to disable 1-click settings on app and refresh main page once or twice (clicked on a sub-link like shopping for clothes etc then back to home page), said credit was applied.

Too bad Amazon doesn’t show such credits on your login like it shows gift card bal for instance. But if you ask customer service they will tell you what credits you have and when they expire.

  9. Dave says:

    Thx Will.

Saw the ad on the app,
    used desktop to disable 1-click,
clicked ad on the app to add Chase CC,
    Promotion applied 🙂

This may be the first time that a 1-click promo
    worked for me..

  10. Bart Hooper says:

Any DPs of this not working with the Chase Amazon card? Just got it last week and the offer is there but when I go to confirm billing address it says “To claim your offer, you must select a Chase Card.”.

    • Dave says:

Sry, no.. Is that your only Chase card?

Rather than using my Amazon card, I added/used
the Freedom card for this offer.

      • Bart Hooper says:

No as in it won’t work or there are no DPs of it not working? Apologies, just checking.

Yes it is my only Chase card. I’m one of those cashback only guys because I don’t travel much.

  11. tribesman55 says:

I have the app and I keep clicking on home to refresh but I can’t get it to show no matter what. Any ideas?

    • PD says:

I got it to work on my account after browsing and refreshing constantly for about fifteen minutes. Did at least that for my husband’s but no luck.

  12. jz says:

Got it. Thanks. Only tried a few times. Do I have to purchase on amazon app or I can place an order on the website in order to take the $10?

  13. Joe Giorgianni says:

I went through the process with the app and got a message saying “The credit has already been applied to your Amazon account. However, when I go to place an order either with the app or the website the credit doesn’t show.

    • Christine says:

I have the same issue. I don’t know if it’s because I haven’t use the citi $5 offer yet. Did you figure out how to redeem the $10 credit?

  14. Joe Giorgianni says:

You have to buy an item sold and shipped by Amazon. I did that and it worked.

    • Miya says:

Where exactly did it show? On the last page before you click “Place Order” where it has the breakdown of S&H, tax, payment method, etc? I added my Chase Sapphire Reserve CC and it said credit applied. I then tested with an item that was sold and shipped by Amazon, but didn’t see the credit applied anywhere.

  15. Eileen says:

Where exactly on the app does this ad come up? When I open the Amazon Shopping app, it first shows me “Buy 2 Save $100 echo” and then below that (but above “Your Recommendations” it shows me random banners for food, pet food, etc [i’m presuming based on previous purchasing habits]. The echo ad is always there, the ad below that switches with every refresh but I never see anything related to payment method, etc. Am I in the right place? Thanks!

PS BTW, I didn’t have a Chase card linked to the account previously, so I just added that payment method. I’m continuing to refresh, but no dice. Any advice appreciated.

    • Elena says:

Eileen, I’ve been going through the same sequence with no luck. Maybe it only works for people who previously had the card linked to their accounts? I must have refreshed 50 times by now with no luck.

    • Natalia from New Orleans says:

There is *Direct link to offer* at the very beginning of this article.
When I click it I get “Sorry, your request for this promotion is not eligible.” on Amazon… I never had one click before.. and only chase card linked there is amazon chase.. may be it not eligible.. I will keep trying to reload, but doubt.

    • M says:

I got it to work! Had the same question as you, where does this ad come up? I refreshed a ton of times in app and on the desktop homepage, always only looking at the viewable section at the top of the page. By a stroke of luck, scrolled down, and found it halfway down the homepage along the right side, at the bottom of the “ads” that appear there (Treasure Truck, ads for Amazon Original series, etc.).

By the way, here was my process:
      1) Didn’t currently have a Chase card in my Amazon payment settings (but had one previously)
      2) Turned off one-click for all devices
      3) Added a Chase card, but didn’t click the use across Amazon button
      4) Refreshed the app and desktop home pages a bunch of times until I found the ad for this halfway down on the right of the desktop home page.

      • Eileen says:

U r amazing. Thx so much, will try again (and again). u deserve good reader award!!!

        • Eileen says:

Check this out, i opened app to take another look before planning to go to website (had no idea website could also generate ad) and lo and behold there it was, in the 2nd spot right under amazon echo ad. Big chase symbol /name plus “save $10”. Thx again!!

      • Eric says:

The article says to do this on the Amazon app. Were you able to do all of this on the desktop?

  16. Tim says:

I think it’s not enough to just “disable 1 click settings”, you also have to deselect a chase card as your default payment option.

I have 1-click turned off, but on the 1-click options menu, even when it’s off, there’s a section called “Default 1-click settings and payment method preferences”

I had 1-click turned off, but a chase card still set as my default payment method here. I went through the app until I was served the advertisement but when I tried to enroll it refused me as I “already used this card as a 1-click purchase option”.

I changed my default to amex, came back an hour later and was served the ad again, but this time it worked! Thanks.

  17. jmcg says:

I tried over and over on the Amazon app the other day, never got the ad to come up. Finally gave up.

Then today, after getting the BJ’s $10 off $50 deal, there it was in my browser. So I added my Chase Freedom and confirmed that I now get $10 off on the checkout screen when selecting it. Interesting that the co-branded Chase Amazon Visa wasn’t eligible (either that or it couldn’t be whatever card was previously selected).

  18. josh says:

I have a chase debit card, but its saying I still need to add a chase card.. does this only work with credit cards?

  19. Jab says:

This offer didn’t showed for me despite I tried all steps described.

Had to delete chase cards from account and add again. Saw ad on desktop on main page 3 min later

  20. Alex Buz says:

Just saw the ad on the actual website, not in the app. Even though going through the direct link to the offer first said I’m not eligible.

    • Alex Buz says:

*I’ll clarify that clicking through that ad on the website made me eligible. I added a Chase card as a 1-click preference and now have the $10 credit available.

  21. Jeff says:

I refreshed probably 100+ times while idly watching TV. Tried a few dozen on phone app and ipad app, and the rest through the website. Was about to give up when it appeared on the main desktop website. I noticed that the smile.amazon.com site doesn’t include the same ad spots as the basic amazon.com, so I was refreshing amazon.com.

I had been doing it many times without having a Chase card added as a payment form in Amazon at all. I then tried adding a Chase card but making sure it wasn’t set to be the one-click payment option. After about 20 more refreshes it appeared. Good luck!

  22. Scoot says:

I saw the ad on website. I had 1-click off, but Chase Amazon card was default card. It wouldn’t work, received non-Chase card error. I changed to the other cc on file (which really wasn’t Chase). Still didn’t work. Then I added Freedom Chase card and it worked. Has anyone had success with this offer with Amazon Chase card?
