Sucks that Aegean changed the points transfer rules. Now you have to take an Aegean or Star Alliance flight before you can transfer between accounts. I guess eventually I will add my Aegean number on an upcoming United flight to unlock that feature, transfer the 6k from my wife’s account and I should have a free one-way flight to the Caribbean covered.
Does anyone have any idea what I can do with these miles as an American? I know they’re part of Star Alliance so there’s that, but from what I can tell you aren’t able to make a direct transfer between airlines.

Thank you, Doc! Found this offer once clicked the link in my wife’s account and mine. Fun fact: we didn’t fly with Aegean since 2014.
And you probably won’t again until at least 2022 since Greece isn’t allowing non-citizens enter and basically all of Aegean’s flights route via Greece. Cool though.
They will probably lift the restriction in the upcoming months, Greece just can’t afford to shut down tourism for another year. Several direct flights have already been scheduled for the summer as well (Emirates, American)
