Our Verdict

Fingers crossed you are targeted/eligible for this offer. Basically a free $10 if you are. In terms of what to buy, here are some suggestions (keep in mind it does say gift cards are excluded, but in previous times it has worked. Let me know if it does/doesn’t work for you in the comments below):

I don’t think a $10 Amazon eGiftcard works unfortunately. If anybody sees any other good deals let us know.

Bummer. Not targetted.

The fine print says gift cards are not eligible, but then your suggestions are for gift cards. Am I misunderstanding something?

Sorry, you were not eligible for this promotion.

🙁

I’ve done this a while ago, and I’m not eligible this time. Thanks for posting, though!

Not eligible… 🙁

Also not eligible. I have done this particular 1-click promotion in the past–i.e., changing it to a Discover card–so maybe that excludes me, and I did recently change my 1-click card from a Discover.

Did offer, got credit, but credit didn’t work on $25.00 Safeway e-gift card. Used it for air duster cans and vitamin E oil instead. Thanks doc!

Was browsing Amazon’s site on my laptop earlier today when I saw the ad for this offer and successfully applied it to my account. I know this is not the first time I’ve done it (changing to both Discover as well as a Citibank card, I believe).

Got targeted again in the latest round (6/12/19 update). This would make the third time I’ve been able to do it, if my previous recollections in posts above are correct. (I can remember only one for sure, the one mentioned in my 7/28/18 post; haven’t gone looking through my records to double-check my 7/10/18 mention of having done it before.)

This time it is not working on GC/eGC of any kind, at least for me…

It might help if you list the brands you tried. I know it used to be possible to buy at least a few brands of e-GCs with an Amazon GC balance, but I think they change the brands eligible periodically.

Just to post this as I DP. I tweeted this at will a while ago but it didn’t make the post.

I was originally not targetted. However, I changed my default payment to a different card. A few days later I was served a banner ad in the amazon app for this offer.

I clicked the banner ad and recieved the credit.

“Sorry, you were not eligible for this promotion.”

Is there a work around? in cognito? log out of amazon, click link to offer, then log back in to amazon?

Thanks in advance, trying to buy a plush koala on amazon soon. haha

My one click settings were originally set to a Chase Visa card. When accessing through my laptop web browser it said I was ineligible. However I then went through the mobile app on my phone and kept refreshing. Eventually the Discover one click promotion came up, clicked on it, and I got the credit.

The credit has been applied to your Amazon account. Redeem it on qualifying purchases by October 31, 2018.

I used the above link for four family accounts… not eligible. I checked the 1 click settings and one was turned off. I turned it on, set a default setting with a card other than Discover, and went back to the homepage. The offer popped up!! Also, you can try to get it to appear by refreshing the page… I did this multiple times and different offers appeared each time… John 3:16
