Amazon American Express Business Cardholders Get Free $50 Giftcard With Business Account Signup

The Offer

Offer Link | Signup for Amazon Business Account at this link (affiliate link here and below)

Amazon American Express Business cardholders are seeing the following offer:

  • Create an Amazon business account for free and get a $50 Amazon gift card + a free year of Business Prime Duo (a $69 value).

Our Verdict

Seems this is an offer for Amazon American Express Business cardholders. I don’t know if it’s valid for all such cardholders or only select users, but if you have an Amex Amazon Business card saved in your personal Amazon account you’ll hopefully see this offer.

Excellent deal for creating a free Amazon business account. Aside from the $50 gift card, you also get for free a lot of the regular Amazon Prime benefits as well with the Business Prime benefit.

I had a similar deal via a popup in app a few months ago. Got $50 GC for creating an Amazon business account with free prime duo for a year. I also had the Amex Amazon business card on my account for about a year. I just need to remember to cancel now so it doesn’t renew. Easy $50

Applied for the Prime Amex Business card today and got approved w/ the GC bonus. Inside the approval email was a link for this $50 GC w/ free year of Prime Business Duo when creating a business account. I also decided to go all the way and apply for the Chase Visa Prime Card too and got that gift card as well.

If I recall correctly, they had another offer floating around earlier this year, but I never got around to signing up. I think is was for 50% off on purchases up to $100 or something like that. This sounds a bit better.

Slight caution:

When I went through the signup process it “took over” my personal account and required a second (unused) cellphone number (I used Google Voice to get it to work) to complete the business signup. My email login (separate for both business and personal) Amazon accounts both take me to the Business account after sign up. I can only access the separate accounts now by using the phone number at login and NOT the email associated with each.

Might be user error, and I was thankful for the $50 credit, but is was more complicated than I first thought. YMMV.

Now I’m going to need an explainer to unwind this before next year 🙂

Same thing happened to me, but it does warn you at the bottom of the offer on what you have to do.

“Set up takes only minutes and we’ll walk you through each step

Once complete, you’ll have 2 accounts: Your existing Amazon account and a new Amazon Business account

1. Provide a new email
We’ll use this email for your existing Amazon account. Your existing order history stays on your Amazon account

2. Create your Amazon Business Account
We’ll use the work email [email protected] you provided in your Card application for your new Amazon Business account

3. Enjoy more benefits
You’ll get a $50 Amazon gift card and a free year of Business Prime Duo on your Amazon Business account”

Any luck disconnecting the personal email from the new business account and linking it back to the personal account?

You’re right. The offer link takes me to the page offering to apply for Amazon Business American Express Card and that’s what they offer $100 gc for.

I see $125 to get card but benefits don’t seem that great, already have Amex business account that pays interest so was hoping I could use the debit card. Amazon wants me to sign up for business account just haven’t got around to it yet.

Shucks, I probably would have been targeted for this. I have had a Amazon AMEX business for around a year and only created an Amazon business account around last week.

Was able to signup for this offer using the link. The $50 was awarded instantly and I was automatically entered into their prime membership. I have the Amazon Prime business card but never got any targeted email for it. Already have a Prime membership but I’ll take the free $50 gift card.

This doesn’t seem worth it, you have to have prime on your personal account to get duo prime so it isn’t a free year of prime. and i dont understand what the extra $70 a year gets you am i completely missing something?
