[YMMV] American Express Hilton Honors Card No Annual Fee Card 100,000 Point Offer

The Offer

  • American Express is offering an increased bonus on the Hilton no annual fee card

Card Details

  • No annual fee
  • Card earns at the following rates:
    • 7x on Hilton hotels or resorts
    • 5x at U.S. restaurants, U.S. supermarkets and U.S. gas stations
    • 3x on all other purchases
  • Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.

Our Verdict

We’ve seen this offer before, there was also a 75,000 point + $100 offer that some people might prefer but that is really personal preference. In terms of straight points this is the highest we’ve seen and I doubt we will see higher in the short/medium term. Keep in mind you’re not eligible for this bonus if you’ve had or have this product. As always if you have any questions, read this post first as they are probably answered thereAmerican Express doesn’t match sign up bonuses if you’ve recently applied, but they sometimes offer courtesy points.

Any tips/ways to collect both the referral bonus and 100K offer from P2? I could have sworn I read a method about tricking the system in the past, but that might have just been wishful thinking.

I just checked. Referral bonus is 15k and I will get only 75k for no fee HH. But I just upgraded P2 to surpass for 150k points after 3k spend in 3 months. Not taking risk because I got a popup for applying Surpass yesterday, even though I have only 2 amex cards ever (ofcourse had costco amex once).
Incognito offer of 100k is better.

Actually, I got 95k bonus from my friend’s referral link by opening up the link in incognito mode a few times. 75k always shows up if I use my normal browser. That’s something to keep in mind.

I remember back in March/April 2019, the 100K HH for 1K spend offer was available via referrals.

Then for the past 2 months, they were doing a 90K HH for 2K spend public offers and blog sites like TPG were like this is the best public offer ever for regular Hilton AMEX card lol.

I opted in for Hilton Surpass for 130K HH + Free Weekend Night for 4K spend before that offer ended yesterday. Hopefully there isn’t a better offer than that for a long while since I’ll be pretty bumped out if there’s something better after that offer ended.

I’m thinking of using the free night at Waldora Astoria Beverly Hills which hovers around $700-800 a night but I wondered if there’s a better Hilton property to use within continental USA…

Anyway, never fully believe in TPG and do your research on best offers!

I have a Hilton Aspire card. Can I apply for this card and get the bonus and upgrade it to Aspire later so I have two Aspire cards?

Yes. I had this card upgraded to Ascend after already having it and now I have an upgrade offer to the Aspire. Plan is to apply for Aspire since I’ve never had it and upgrade Ascend to Aspire so I have two and get the bonus on both.

I’m getting 80k with $1,000 spend in incognito. Any tricks that I’m missing. I tried a VPN but it didn’t change anything.

Very confused..if I got the old ‘Hilton HHonors Card’ in 2016 would that be considered the same product as this from AMEX POV?

By the way..I got the offer to show up via the Chinese website method.

I didn’t clear cache and got the offer in Chrome incognito using the old referral link. Was instantly approved. Thanks!!

Interesting they reallocated credit from one of my existing Amex cards and notified me via snail mail. I’m totally fine with it though.

Got the 100k points / $1000 spend offer in incognito, approved instantly, no dreadful popup showed up (surprised by this, a few weeks ago I always got it when I tried to apply for the other Hilton cards), and when I requested the instant card number, it couldn’t generate one and offered $60 credit.
Fingers crossed that I get the SUB!

Worth burning a 5/24 slot?

Absolutely not.

What if you already have the freedom, freedom unlimited, United, Marriott, Hyatt and reserve? Idk what else I want other than maybe a Southwest. I’d love the Ink since my phone and internet bill is about $700 a month but I don’t own a business and scared to play that game. Lol

There are other banks to hit before American Express, which limits bonuses to once a “lifetime” (~7 years). Once you get further past 5/24, it will be more difficult to get approved for USB, BOA, Barclays, etc. I would focus on those before moving to American Express once you are 10+/24.

Thanks, I’ll look into those.

If I close my current one and reapply will I get the points?

no, amex has a once in a lifetime (more like 7 years) bonus offer sign ups

I applied through a referral link for 95k offer and got the popup that I am not eligible for the bonus. I have the Marriott Business card, and it is the only Amex card I have ever had. I opened that card about a year ago and still have it.

This was my first application for a personal card with Amex and I am 51 years old with excellent credit. It feels like an insult.

I will be closing the other card when the annual fee hits. I’m done with Amex!

Got at 95k after $1000 spend in 3-months offer using MS Edge Incognito. Got a dreaded pop-up though for being ineligible for the welcome bonus. I already have an AMEX Blue Cash, Everyday, and Hilton Surpass.
