Chase is sending out a snail mail to some United Explorer cardholders and the United business card with the following offer:
- Register for this offer by January 15, 2020, and use your card between December 1, 2019 and January 31, 2020. We’ll reward you with 2,500 bonus miles if you spend as designated by your personalized offer.
There are various versions of the spend requirement to trigger the 2,500 points bonus. Two I’ve seen:
- $500 spend
- $1,100 spend
- There are other versions as well, both on the spend and the bonus points offer
Our Verdict
Depending on the spend requirement, this can be a nice offer. You can check the link above to see if you were targeted. You’d probably have gotten a snail mail if you were, but can’t hurt to check.

Has anyone seen this bonus post yet? I downgraded my MPE to fee-free version in January so I’m wondering whether it will still post.
Mine was spend $4,000, get $2,000. I guess that’s the piddly reward you get for spend meant to hit the 25k PQD waiver.

Has anyone been able to bypass 5/24 through the “you’re prequalified” banner in the United app? I was thinking about trying to apply, even though the offer isn’t that great (40k miles after $2k in 3 months and 25k after $10k in 6).

There was a round of earlier offers for various Chase United personal cards, as well as for the Chase United Business Explorer, about a month ago. Mine was $1200 spend for 2000, between Nov 15 and Dec 31, for the Chase United Business Explorer. Unfortunately not everyone in that thread mentioned which specific card their offer was for.
Spend $900, get 2500… not the greatest, but it fits with a bill I need to pay this week so I’ll take it!
I got a mailer for my United
Business card and it was spend $750, get 750 points

Mailer: $750 personal card get 750 points.

750 points in addition to the normal 1 point per $1 (Spend $750 get 1500 points)…makes it a 2% card for $750
Isn’t that what you get without any special offer?
