There are four targeted Chase Southwest spending bonuses that Travel With Grant, a reader and Flyertalk have alerted me about. You should be able to see if you have any of these bonuses (or others) by visiting: http://www.mychasebonus.com/ and entering your information (direct links for each promotion at end of article, but they will just redirect you to that page I believe). People have been able to sign up for these without receiving the e-mail, so it’s worth a try.

4x Points On Rapid Rewards Hotel & Car Rental Partner Purchases
Travel With Grant received this offer and was nice enough to e-mail me about it. Here are the details:
- April 15–July 15, 2015 you can earn 2 additional points per $1 on up to $5,000 spent directly with Rapid Rewards Hotel and Car Rental Partners (this is in addition to the 2x points you already earn, for a total of 4x points)
4x Points On Southwest Purchases
Flyertalk user steved5480 reports receiving the following offer:
- From April 15–July 15, 2015 you can earn 2 additional points per $1 on up to $5,000 spent directly with Southwest Airlines on top of the 2 points you already earn on those purchases (total of 4x points per $1 spent)
4,000 Bonus Points On $8,000 Spend
Reader Bushe reports receiving the following offer:
- Receive 4,000 bonus points when you spend $8,000 from April 15th – July 15th, 2015
This is basically an extra 0.5 points on all spending as long as you spend $8,000.
3,000 Points On $5,000 Spend
This is the same deal as above, but you only get 3,000 points on $5,000 in spend. Which is basically an extra 0.6 points per $1 spent on $5,000 in spend. Slightly better earn rate, but less points overall.
Final Thoughts
If you received any of these offers, you have until July 15th to enroll, apparently purchases made before you enroll are not included but you might be able to get around this by sending Chase a secured message or calling to complain. Bonus points will be added to your account 6-8 weeks after the end of the promo period. Here are the individual links for each of these bonues, they will probably show a 404 error and just redirect to the general
- www.mychasebonus.com/swa11 4x points on Southwest
- www.mychasebonus.com/swa12 4x on Travel partners
- www.mychasebonus.com/swa13 3,000 points for $5,000 spend
- www.mychasebonus.com/swa14 3,000 points for $8,000 spend
These points should count towards the companion pass as they are points earned on the credit card, which usually count. tanfox from flyertalk reports being told they would count (Update: reader Jason says it won’t count). Below are the current best sign up bonuses on the Chase southwest cards:
- 60,000 on business Premier
- 50,000 on Personal Plus (via referral)
- 50,000 on Personal Premier (there is also a 50,000 + $100 targeted promotion and 10,000 + $200 offer)
If you call Chase and are able to get added to one of the bonuses you couldn’t automatically enroll in, please let me know in the comments below. Also let me know if you received any of the offers and if you’ll take advantage of them.
there is no place to sign up for the spend $6,000 to earn 3,000
I can’t find where to enroll in the 2x points on purchases made at gas stations Aug.1 – Oct 15. I went into the site but can’t find it. Nancy Huebner
Jason is incorrect. 3,000 bonus along with base points shows right in my CP total posted on SWA website.
I have tried to enroll in yur bonus reward program, but it is not working.
What category do promotion points fall into then? I signed up for two SW credit cards (50k promo points each) and after spending the remaining amount needed to hit 110k points I received the CP. I would find it odd if promotion points were counted as base points since they are not earned at the normal rate. They earn at a rate that some may consider to be……. a bonus rate.
I used the link and was able to enroll for the #K for 5K spend. Thanks.
BONUS points earned on credit card offers don’t count towards companion pass. Only base points.
This is pretty common experience for most SWA cc holders. maybe a few individual exceptions, but the rule is base only counts for CP.
Strange that the reps would say that this does count then.
