[YMMV] New American Express Delta Offers Without Lifetime Language (Delta Gold 60,000 + $50 & Delta Platinum 70,000 + $100)

American Express released some new public offers last week:

Several readers have also reported receiving the same offers via e-mail and snail mail. The only difference is that these offers do not contain the “Welcome bonus offer not available to applicants who have or have had this product.” language. This means you should be able to get the sign up bonus again if you’ve received it before (note there are some reports of people not successfully getting the bonus a second time. It seems if it posts regularly it will work but if you need to contact American Express for any reason it won’t. Seems to be mostly effecting people that had previously applied for the leaked 100,000 Platinum links).

Interestingly it seems like everybody can see if they are targeted for these offers by using the following links:

If you use the above links please confirm that the offer they show does not have the lifetime language.

Hat tip to readers Troy & Aaron L

I currently have the Delta Pat business, guessing these offers do not work if you currently hold either gold or platinum versions of the personal or business cards?

When I click on the two links above and enter # + last name I get “To receive your Delta SkyMiles® Credit Card offer, you must log in using the same SkyMiles® account number located on the email or letter where you received the specific offer.”

I was targeted for the 70k platinum offer but just recently closed the same card several months back. Lets see if I still receive the new bonus

If you received an mail offer with offer code CHT6:0001, you can go for it. I have called and confirmed one for lifetime restriction is not attached to this offer code.

When I used the links and logged in, it didn’t have the “once per lifetime” verbiage. I just had the card 6 months back, both business and personal. Should I still go ahead??

When doing a dummy booking at Delta.com, an offer shows up,

Earn a $150 Statement Credit and 50,000 Bonus Miles
Apply for the Gold Delta SkyMiles Credit Card from American Express
$150 Statement Credit after you use your new Card on a Delta purchase in your first 3 months*
50,000 bonus miles after you make $2,000 in purchases on your new Card within your first 3 months. Special Offer Expires 11/8/2017
First checked bag free and Priority Boarding on Delta flights
$0 introductory annual fee for the first year, then $95

Is this a better offer?

my email doesn’t have the 12 month language but it says:
If we in our sole discretion determine that you have engaged in abuse, misuse, or gaming in connection with the welcome bonus offer in any way or that you intend to do so (for example, if you applied for one or more cards to obtain a welcome bonus offer (s) that we did not intend for you; if you cancel or downgrade your account within 12 months after acquiring it; or if you cancel or return purchases you made to meet the Threshold Amount), we may not credit the welcome bonus to, we may freeze the welcome bonus credited to, or we may take away the welcome bonus from your account. We may also cancel this Card account and other Card accounts you may have with us.

I just recently filled my fourth AMEX credit card slot (also have a charge card). Does AMEX still limit you to four credit cards?

Thanks Bob.

There is still the anecdotal evidence of an increased risk of FR, but since I’m understating income and assets (my SO’s accounts) that shouldn’t be a major concern.

I guess we’re about to find out. 🙂

Thanks for the heads up–I see both when I log into my Amex account.

Hey, another heads up–I see both these offers at SkyMiles on both the personal AND business sides. All four on the site have bold language about previous signups not being eligible.

I don’t see the language in any of the application pages or the “Offer Terms”
Where exactly is that sentence?

I think so. Went there, had to log into SkyMiles, then all the offers were there.

Edit: To clarify, I clicked on the links to go there but there was an intermediate step where I had to log in that could have messed any tracking up.
