They are bunch of $cumbags and have the state regulator in their pocket. If they had 2 brain cells, they could come up with clear guidelines like only 1 transaction per day or only 1 transaction per merchant per n number of days or only transactions over a certain amount etc but that is too much to expect from these inbred imbeciles.
Instead they were blaming all the lowlifes at doc for all the issues with this promotion in their official response to my complaint. Also the state regulator is totally corrupt, they told me over the phone that their lawyer is drafting a response in conjunction with these $cumbags so that their behavior can be properly justified and explained.
fdic, I feel you might be holding back regarding your true feelings for Zynlo 😀 And, perhaps the better way to write “s-bags” is like this: sc$mbags instead of $cumbags, where people might disregard the $ sign when reading the word, and just pronounce it with the letters, starting with the c. Oh my!
I just received an email from Zynlo stating that “[my] account will continue to be monitored for unusual purchase activity. If this pattern continues, your ZYNLO account(s) will be closed.”
I guess that they don’t like all of the small purchases that I’ve done in the 6+ months that I’ve had accounts with them. It may just be a matter of time before I join many of you that have been shut down by the Zynlo RAT!
My Zynlo accounts are now “pending closure” only 3 days after I received that warning letter. It is what it is.
1/28/25 – Opened
2/10-11 – 2x Wise $500 push
3/7-10 – 2x Discover $500 push
20x debits, mostly Amazon, Venmo and a couple real purchases spread over a month
Debit match posted within appropriate timeframe, but the $100 DD bonus did not.
I messaged them, and after a few weeks, about a month after the bonus should have hit, the $100 posted.
I received this bonus for myself and P2. P3 was not accepted even after two application attempts. I completed my debit card spend using PayPal and Apple Cash, while P2 had to do it via in-store organic spend and $5 Amazon reloads. My B of A unlimited biz card rewards card funding posted as a purchase.
12/18/24 – Submitted online application
12/21/24 – Finalized application through email link with $1k credit card funding for the More Spending account only (this was after contacting customer service due to first link not working)
12/23/24 – Opened Tomorrow Savings account online within account dashboard after realizing that this was necessary to earn debit card roundup matches
12/30/24 – $500 ACH deposit from US Bank into checking (initially linked via trial deposits)
12/31/24 – $501 ACH deposit from US Bank into checking
1/16/25-2/3/25 – 20 debit card transactions via PayPal and Apple Cash reloads ranging in odd amounts of $3-$19 each (all transactions also received the 100% bonus match on roundups)
2/25/25 – $100 debit card incentive bonus posted
I noticed that debit card transactions only needed to post within 45 days of account opening and not actually need to clear within that timeframe. Debit card transactions that I made within the 45 day period that cleared only after the 45 days still counted toward earning the bonus.
This was especially advantageous for P2’s account, since he received his debit card late due to needing to manually request one for not receiving it the first time around. Initially, they just sent him an empty envelope without the debit card in it. Stores that accepted his Zynlo debit card without a problem were Sprouts, Panera, Staples, USPS, Five Below and Amazon Fresh.
I personally am still earning 25% matches on my roundups made with PayPal and Apple Cash reloads, and have never received a warning or account shutdown email of any kind from Zynlo. I haven’t tried making any 1 cent PayPal subscription payments for the roundups yet, and I’m not sure that I’m interested in depositing $3k into my Zynlo accounts just to keep getting the 100% round up match rate. Together we have made about ~$70 from interest and debit card round up matches by making 1-2 PayPal/Apple Cash debit card manual reloads daily.
Ironically, P2 received a warning email about his debit card transactions, even though he never used his debit card with a P2P app prior to this because he couldn’t even add his debit card to any P2P app until recently. His card is currently working with PayPal, but Apple Cash wants him to contact Zynlo first to verify his account before adding his card–I wonder why that is?
Opened savings & checking accounts with $1k funding each. After one week, the bank approved for the account opening but no credit card funding.
1/29/25 – Checking and savings accounts opened
2/4/25 – $501 deposit by ACH push
2/5/25 – $502 deposit by ACH push
2/6/25 – Withdrew everything except $50 left in checking
Over the next 35 days, I did 21 in-store debit card transactions among several grocery/convenience stores. Purchases ranged from $1 to $3 and I kept it to one purchase a day.
I never received a warning email.
3/31/25 – $100 bonus posted.
1/24/25 – checking and savings opened, funded $1k via Alaska biz
2/3/25 – $50x discover ACH
2/10/25 – $50x discover ACH
2/16/25 – 20 debit transactions done ($1.01 to $1.04 utility payments)
3/31/25 – $100 bonus posted
I received a warning email mid March. I have been doing 2x $1.0x payments everyday since beginning of March
Waiting more than a month to apply after most of us did probably saved you. I see that you’ve decided to take the
Peek and
Gisted route to close your account.
It is the way to get a bit more bonus, it seems like even those of us not doing this many transactions are getting shut down at times too.
Yup, it seems like they close majority of accounts, so I’m just going for max bonus I can get.
To be clear, I have no issue at all with what any of you did. My only issue would come up if any of you complained after getting shut down after doing abusive behavior. I just don’t like hypocrites. 😉
Yeah I just took the hit on this one. Loading 1.XX daily for weeks isn’t “normal use” 🙂
Was the CC funding processed as soon as you applied and your account was approved? How long until the CC funding became available to withdraw? Thanks!
I can’t remember exact timelines but I think it was pending same day then became available to withdraw in less than 5 days
I determined that Zynlo is a real stickler for the rules. I made a purchase with my debit card on the 100th day that my account was opened. It posted on the 101st day (yesterday) and I received a 100% Round Up match. I made a purchase with my debit card on the 101st day that my account was opened. It posted on the 102nd day (today) and I received only a 25% Round Up match.
Now, I will probably move most of my small spend from Zynlo to Roger. However, I may still use my Zynlo debit card from time to time as I would hate for them to shut me down for unnatural non-use of my debit card. 😉
You still can get Zynlo’s 100% match if you keep $3k in the checking account at 2%. I’m not sure that that’s a good deal. I’m going back to my Primis Perks account that pays 50 cents for every debit. Even works with PayPal bill pay.
I am aware of that Zynlo deal but it’s definitely not worth it for me as I don’t have nearly enough small purchases to make up for that big of a “loss” in interest.
This is the 1st that I have heard of that “Primis Perks” deal. Is there nothing in the terms preventing people from abusing it like people did for Zynlo?
Now I know why
fdic decided against trying for the Roger Round Up deal as they must also have access to this “Primis Perks” deal.
I look forward to them ranting and raving when Primis inevitably shuts them down like Zynlo did. 😉
I’m sure Primis can close out accounts for abuse. I only put small – like $15 and less everyday purchases on it and a couple PayPal bill pays on it a month. I’ve been doing this for probably eight months. I keep funds in their savings account and transfer to checking as I’m spending. It’s good for $10-12 a month.
First time hearing about this also. It is not an interest bearing account and in their disclosure, they have the following written down “At the discretion of the bank, your account may be closed and reward payment may be denied if the offering is abused.”
I don’t know about you but when I see terms like that (ie Zynlo, Etrade, etc) in a bonus offer, I try to tread lightly. It seems like I’m in the minority though. However, it seems like
flguy is like me in that regard. 😀
Everyone please take a few minutes to fill out this form and email it
https://www.mass.gov/doc/consumer-complaint-form-pdf/download
Say they dont define what is excessive or unnatural, etc and kept sending emails to encourage more debit card usage.
Each of these complaints will stay on their record even if it doesnt achieve much
Are you also going to file a complaint against Amex and other companies with a RAT that don’t define the word “abuse”?
