So I got the cards before Christmas, bought OVGC at CVS using $5 cash for the card fee and $500 from the 5 back GC (you have to do it in that order). It’s now Jan 4th, those cards all show a balance of $0 instead of the 5% of $500. Anyone else have this issue? I get it being the holidays, but I would have expected the 5% by now since I presume it’s pretty automated anyhow.
Did you call and ask them to add the funds to the card?
I called after 48 hours; they escalated the request and within a few hours each of my cards showed the 5% ($25) credit.
And I needed to call the following week to get the 5% on each of the five cards my spouse had purchased.
I am not sure if the 5% would have posted without a call.
Why GM stated in the email the card has to be activated? The balance is there and there are no activation entries on the phone or online.
Doc/others: any data points on how long the 5% rebate takes to post to the cards?
The cashback just gets credited a few days later to the same card that you earned it on… I’ve done this several times at CVS.

I tried to buy a vanilla at CVS with the one I got yesterday and it was declined. Anyone had that happen before? I ended up just paying with my freedom and went to Walmart and drained the 5 back but I thought people were using these to buy Vanillas at CVS? I didn’t do the whole $500 with the fee so going over was not an issue.
I purchased 5x $500 on my Amex BRG before they went OOS.
Received a call from their fraud department today. I called back and confirmed the order and they said they would be shipped out on Monday or Tuesday.
I have placed 3 orders, totally $2500 yesterday. Have not received the Cancellation email yet. Fingers crossed.
