At the end of the month a lot of deals and offers usually expire, I thought it would be helpful to give people a gentle reminder about a few offers that are due to expire at the end of this month.
Free Points
Here is a nice, quick and easy 1,000 Virgin America miles. These will become Alaska miles at some point in the future so worth grabbing if you have no need for Virgin miles.

- TIAA Direct $150 Checking Bonus – Nationwide. Doubt this will be extended (first time it’s been offered in awhile) nice and easy bonus and it’s available nationwide so I’d recommend this one if you haven’t done it already.
- Santander $150 Checking Bonus – Available Nationwide. One of our most popular and recommended bank account bonuses. This is usually extended, but grab it now if you’re interested.
- M&T Bank $150 Checking Bonus – Available Online [AZ, CT, DC, DE, MD, NJ, NY, PA, VA, WV]. This bonus comes and goes quite a bit.
- [NYC only] Astoria Bank $250/$300 Checking Account Promotion. Often extended as well, but grab it now if you’re in NYC as it’s another of the best bonuses available.
- Fifth Third $200 Checking Bonus, Available Online [FL, GA, IL, IN, KY, MI, MO, NC, OH, PA, TN, WV]. This one is basically always extended, so not a huge risk of it disappearing.
- [IL only] Proviso Community Bank $100 Checking Bonus With Cubs & White Sox Checking Account. Not really worth considering, but it is expiring.
Credit Cards
- Max out your Q3 rotating categories. Not long left for Q3.
- Enroll in Q4 rotating categories. Make sure you’ve enrolled if you haven’t already.
Manufactured Spending
- Plastiq: Pay Mortgage or Rent with Mastercard with Just 1.75% Fee. This will go back up to 2.5% on the 30th, still time to schedule some payments.
