[YMMV] Spend $20 At Amazon.com Receive $20 Statement Credit – AmEx Offer

The Offer

  • Spend $20+ at Amazon.com and receive a $20 statement credit when you use a card that is enrolled in this offer.

The Fine Print

  • This is a targeted American Express offer and as such must appear in your account. It cannot be added by using Facebook, Twitter or Foursquare
  • Expires June 6th, 2015
  • Transaction must be made directly with Amazon (e.g no cash back portals)
  • Statement credit will appear within 90 days

Our Verdict

There is no Twitter hashtag for this offer, so you’ll need to see if any of your cards were targeted manually (if you have multiple cards that are targeted, make sure to use the multiple tab method to save the offer to all of the cards). If you have this offer on your account, you should definitely use it. Either purchase something you need/want from Amazon or purchase a gift card (this should code correctly, but it’s always a risk – so you’re better off purchasing a product).

I didn’t receive this offer on any of my accounts unfortunately, but such is life. Also just a friendly reminder that OffersBot is no longer working for Twitter offers.

Once you get your screens all queued up within the tabs, there is a time limit before the site somehow “resets”. If you don’t get everything clicked before the time runs out you are out of luck if you have already clicked on one of the offers.

Data point: I was not effective with the multiple tab method. In fact, when making two simultaneous clicks to enroll in the offer, the second enrolled fine while the first one failed. The fail reported the error “You are already enrolled in this offer.”

I don’t believe the multiple tab method ever worked. I always use multiple browsers. I did earlier today and it worked fine as I had it on 2 of my 3 cards.

The multiple tab method has worked for me in the past, so the data point simply suggests maybe AMEX is aware of this technique nowadays.

In any regard I was able to call AMEX (Digital Assist Team 1-800-297-1234) and they were able to add the offer on the first card.

Multiple tabs should still be working. I just tried this yesterday on two of my cards and didn’t receive any error. Unless it didn’t save? I’ll check my account tonight to confirm.

Are these offers rolling or one time blanket release?

As a data point, I got the offer on one card, and on Amazon used the “reload your balance” button for $20 and got a confimration email from AMEX within a minute
